Pin Trading

We love to pin trade ... are there any pins we should be on the lookout for? When we started in November of 1999 the 'hot' ones were the mistake pins. Now it is what ever makes us happy.

Any new collections similar to the 4 pin set - Four Parks One World?

I'm no expert, but I would stick with the "whatever makes us happy" line of reasoning.
The "limited edition" and special event pins seem to have a high trading value. But my favorites are usually the pins that represent our trip. Pins from the rides and shows we see and characters we like.
I am actually more of a collector than trader. I have a hard time parting with my precious souvenirs.

My son collects the lanyard series pins and Chip and Dale pins. He just recently collected all of series 1 and 2 and is now on the lookout for the new lanyard pins, although he hasn't found any of them quite yet. He started collecting in Oct 1999, and has quite a collection at home. He has 2 huge corkboards filled with pins. The one corkboard is all stitch pins the other is Pluto.

We each have our own 'collections'. I collect Tinks and Sorcerer Mickey, DD collects Sleeping Beauty and DH likes Disney Quest and Euro Disney pins.

We don't usually part with ours either, so we have bought doubles in the past (when the Disney Stores sold pins!) to have ones to trade. We discovered our last trip we should get ride pins, as they are always changing or closing. We purchased an Alien Encounter last visit. We also love to wear them. DH never goes out without at least one pin.
