Pin Trading Locations

I am use to going to WDW, so I need some help about finding special pin trading locations. I understand how the lanyards work, but what I am looking for is locations that host games, pin boards, etc. Do the hotels have special pin trading boards? Any help is greatly appreciated.

The hotels do not have special boards unless you go during a pin trading event. The parks do and DTD does as well but the times change so you should ask when you get there. In DTD it's at the pin shop next to the monorail station, they will have books and the CM's there all wear lanyards. In DCA go to PT Flea, they have a board and the CM's have lanyards. In DL go to Frontierland, there is a pin shop there and they will bring out books and the CM's have lanyards. And of course, there will be many other CM's with lanyards out as well.

ok.. What is a board? We are very new to pin trading and did it last year but didn't know to much about it

A board is simply that, it's a tack board and the pins are stuck to it, you take a pin from the board and put a pin back.

Today was our first DL trip and found that pin trading is not anywhere near as popular as it is in WDW... it was a rare treat to find a CM with a lanyard.

This past summer, they were bulletin boards located in the Disney merchandise store on the second floor of the Grand Floridian.

We had reservations at 1900 Park Fare. 2 CMs were facillitating the process. I believe however that it was only available during a 2 hour time period.
