Pin Trading in the disney stores

I love the pin displays everyone! I keep mine in pin bags, which I guess is a shame as I don't often see them, but I have too many to put in frames!

I went to the Milton Keynes store today to pick up the new Mickey and Minnie core pins (very cute) and I pin traded with 2 cast members there (I was chatting to both of them so as there was 3 pins I liked I traded with one CM then he past the lanyard to the other one!) I got the Donald Duck square cast member pin, one of the Mickey cast member pins and an Animal Kingdom Lodge pin which I was happy about as that is where I am staying in the summer!! I also bought a stitch, Mickey and Minnie core pin to trade in WDW in the summer as well as the Evil Queen and Mickey/Pluto house LE pins. I am trading some of the UK LE pins with a fellow US dis boarder. The CM's in the store were very excited about pin trading. One was his 1st trade and the other said she has started collecting pins herself now!!

dd's traded 2 pins today and it was the CM's 1st time trading. DD12 got a jasmine and aladin one and dd7 got a cinderella with castle. great fun

Been to the Trafford Centre today and they had a few new pins on there from the U.S. and DLRP.

I traded for a cute Tigger, and what looks like an older Mickey pin, as it had the gold clasp on the back and not the mouse ears. My Dad traded a cute little Minnie pin too

Picked up my Cinderella LE pin, which I adore! And couldn't resist Donald & his boat too, which reminds me of WDW!

Trafford Centre hasn't got the new core pins in yet and they were unable to confirm when these will be in also.

Hehe, small world. I just bought the Gaston/Belle pin from the "Where Dreams..." event off eBay. Cost me £10 in total, but I'm a huge Gaston fan and I currently only own 3 other pins featuring him.

I really love the frame idea you started Tinks. I filled two more frames today with the last of my non-3D pins! So now, all my corkboard has on it is my Cheshire pins, my Villain pins, my Jessica pins and all my pin-on-pin pins. I'll see about re-doing my corkboard tomorrow, then I'll post pics along with my last two frames.

You should go to Ikea and buy a shadow box frame I think they're about £6 for a small one or about £9 for a slightly larger version. I've got one of them with my Friday the 13th Jumbo some of the other pins from that day and my Tink Friday the 13th from DLRP. Its not quite perfect yet

Ikea! I'm going there this week hopefully, so I can get one! (Just got my key for my house for the next couple years, so mega ikea shopping trip time!

Your frames will be fantastic! I've got another to fill, which I think I'll work on today why DBF's watching the football. I'll post again once it's done. Then I'll have to check back in a Wilkinson's for a couple more once I've been paid, because I want a smaller one to show off my Romance pins, once the whole set has been released.

I tried Ikea when looking for frames and was unsuccessful there, so just to let people know, certain stores may not stock them. I'll keep a check on them though, they may get some back instock

I love all the framed pins, they look fab I've only started collecting recently so I haven't really bought any pins I want to trade, I've just bought ones I want to keep but I'm going to have to change that can't wait to have enough pins to frame .. they look great !! our office needs decorating and currently has a few framed photos from DLP in it so I think those combined with framed pins will look good.

Here is a photo of my work in progress, a Friday the 13th themed pin collection and hitch hiking ghost thrown in, it needs a slight adjustment as the weight of the jumbo is pulling down on all the others but thought I'd share it with all of you

Could i ask do you keep the backs on the pins in the frame or does the glass in the frame hold them in place safely

I have put the back on the pins yes, I've used cardboard (not flimsy card, but not too thick either) and covered that with black material. The pins go through the card and pin quite easily. I had the cardboard cut so it was a tight fit once placed into the frame and that way I just pressed the board right up to the glass front - and there it has stayed

Well, I took a trip to wilkinsons yesterday, and I found the frame which looked exact, however it looked as if the glass was really far back, and so, just had the regular space of a frame. Am I wrong?? Am also going to IKEA tomorrow, will look there!

The glass on my frame is right to the front of the frame edge, so I'm not sure which ones you saw in Wilkinsons Hope you have more luck in Ikea, let us know how you get on there

I've just checked on-line at Wilkinsons and both frames are now showing as 'sold out' on the site also I hope they get some back in soon!

also went disney store liverpool on saturday and they had no non uk pins, and said they are struggling to get them. and had a low stock on the new pins that was released that day

Got a great frame at IKEA today. It's 25 x 25cm and 4.5cm deep, so plenty space for some of my pins, it only cost me £6.50 as well. Although now I'm going to want to fill it, but need to do assignments, exams and move into my new house.

Also, just recieved 5 pins I'd bought from eBay and have just won 7 more, so should recieve them soon. I think if I've got enough space, I might have to do a couple of these frames

I'm hoping that the Trafford Centre store has the core pins in this weekend too! They had none last weekend and I really want to Belle with Castle and the Polka Dot Minnie!

I think I'm going to have to take a trip to the Disney Store this weekend as I really want the polka dot Minnie pin dd loves looking at the collection I'm building so I can't wait to have enough Minnie's to pop them in a frame for her, although I'm slightly concerned that she seems to like my halloween themed pins
