PIN sent to my email for a different family! UGH!

This has happened twice in the last month! I keep getting pin codes for the McConnell family and we are NOT the McConnell family. Today the pin I received via email is good for the week leading up to Christmas 2011, which is when we are travelling. I am still deciding between Shades of Green and POR. If I would get a PIN for OUR family it would help make the decision!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Not this exactly but we got the pin offer in the mail but it had my sister-in-law's name on it. She has never lived with us and it was her maiden name that was used, she has been married for 12 years. Kind of annoying since I am desperately hoping for a pin so to see one come to our house not meant for us was pretty annoying.

I got the 40% off deluxe pin under my best friend's husband's name in my email today! SO annoyed!

My mom keeps getting pin codes for the Alfred family. Don't know anyone with that last name.

its sent to the smiths but not my first name or address...the disney lady told me to email it to a certain lady to overide it and verify it was actually mine...so i have to do this everytime i call.. so just call the phone number on the pin code and punch in the code automatically..a cm will change it to you.. i just called and applied it to poly..40% off 11/14-11/19 keep trying and ask them if there is anway to change it to you

It happened to us today too. It was for the right first name,wrong last name....but it was my email address. So the Disney person said he would have to speak to a supervisor,long story short....they let us use it. They did look our names up on the computer (we have been to WDW more than 6 times in the last 12yrs) But we didnt have a pin attached to our name. But I find it strange that this MIX UP is happening to a bunch of people.

Disney has very big problems when it comes to guest information. I get pin codes for extended family members that have been with me on trips to WDW. Several months ago I received a pin code via email for my father which has been deceased for 2 years. Last April I received a pin code for my DD's family about a month after returning from WDW with them but I booked the rooms.

I have yet to receive a pin code though.

I would hate to see what kind of junk email the DVC owners that rent their points out get.

I got one today for the Kemmochi Family, I'm a Figueroa! I just called Disney and she was able to take that name off and I just logged in using the same pin with my last name. Try calling.

Just had to check and see if anyone had my name. Have never received a pin but still had hopes that my pin is out there.

Call and ask if there is a PIN in your name. Can't hurt to try.

Am I understanding people correctly that they have had success in getting the names changed because the code was addressed to their E-mail account? Gosh I hope so! I frequently get codes for my family members as I often take them on vacation with me and book rooms for the gang using my E-mail and their name. I think Disney knows they have me hooked and they are trying to lure the newer names in their system to become the addict that I am.

I have received postcards with pins for my mother and my friend's 12yr old son. I have in the past booked trips for my mom and friend's family . when I have called to ask if the offer can be applied to me since it was sent to my home I have been told "No-the offer is for the person on the card or a household memebr."
It is very frustrating since it was my household-but not my name.

So...my offer was addressed to my mother, but came to my email. I called the number on the offer and the cast member was able to change the contact information on the offer to my info!
