Does anyone know about how this pin pursuit works. I read about it earlier in the week and can't find the thread. It was supposed to start today . I read about it in connection with EPCOT. Can you do it in all parks or is it all one. Thank you. Carol:earsgirl:

I can't seem to find it either but I did a pin pursuit last year. You get a free map and then you have to go to various places around the world i.e. parks, resorts, DTD, WOS complex etc. and either answer a trivia question or make a pin trade. At each place you will get a stamp on your map and then you will take your map back to DTD pintraders for your free completer pin. Actually you may not have to end at DTD they may have completer pins elsewhere. Can anyone elaborate on this??? All I know is it was pretty fun and hey, where else in WDW can you get something for nothing? And a pin no less!

Help Mickey Mouse and friends complete the Decathlon Series. At each location, answer the questions below or trade a pin with a Cast Member to receive a stamp. Make your final destination Disney's Wide World of Sports - D Sports to receive your final stamp and complimentary Mickey Mouse pin.**

The new start date will be Thursday, August 12, 2004. We apologize for any inconveinence.

The Decathlon Series pins will have a backstamp saying "Decathlon Series." These pins are considered a "one-time buy." This means that once the pins are sold out, we do not plan on reordering additional pins (despite being considered "core" or "open edition" pins). There are also a finite number of completer pins available.

Be sure to collect the entire set of these unique Disney - USA Olympic pins!

how long do pin pursuits usually last? Would it still be going on when I get there Sept. 18?

Maybe there will be another pin pursuit?

Thanks
Aryn

Thanks for the details. How long do you think the completer pins will last? I would love to get one next month.

Thanks alot. Do you go to all the parks to get the stamps on your map or is there one for each park. Sounds cool. My DD is down there with her family and I thought this could be fun for the kids but I wanted to have the right info to tell her.:earsgirl:

You have to get one stamp from each of the 10 places. It does take quite a bit of leg work, but that is part of the fun. It is the only reason I have ever been to the World of Sports.

Do you have to pay admission to World of Sports?
Another mid-Sept. arrival, thinking it might be fun to try if it's not too difficult.

Nope, it is right in the gift shop. No charge to get in.

I hate to be a stick-in-the-mud/fly-in-the-ointment, but I tried to do the Happy Villaintine's Day pin pursuit in Feb, and all the completer pins were gone in less than 8 days. My kids were very disappointed that we couldn't get the completer pins.

I did one in May 2003 and the completers lasted at least 5 weeks but they may be more popular now.
