Pin newbie question/Star Wars pin

Hi - I'm a pin newbie with a newbie question. Do you guys recommend leaving the pin on the display thing-a-ma-bobber?

Also, we just came back from WDW and I got the Star Wars pin for this year with Mickey and Yoda. Do the Star Wars pins only get sold during Star Wars weekends or do they get sold throughout the year? And lastly, are they different every year?

I would bet lots of people save the velvety plastic pin tag, but lots don't, too. We save all ours and I keep them intact, unless the pins are being taken off to wear on the lanyards, and then we still save them to put back on later.
Hope you enjoyed the Star Wars weekend. Lucky you to be able to go! The pins brought out for that weekend I believe were for that weekend only, and will be different with each year. Of course, there are lots of regular star wars pins out all the time, but there were those that were LE to the weekend only.

The pins are different every year, especially the logo pin. One year it had R2 projecting Mickey. If you want to see the various previous pins, go to pinpics.com and do a search on Star Wars pins (some are for the weekends only and some are general pins). And welcome to the boards
