Is there a way to purchase any of the DCL pins that have just come out other than going on a cruise? We have been on 4 Disney cruises and don't have one planned yet but my son, who is an avid pin collecter from the cruises, has just seen some brand new ones (specifically one of the terminal) and I was just wondering how I can purchase them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
pins sold exclusively on the ships or CCay cannot be purchased anywhere else, and cannot be mail ordered either.
About the only option, is to hook up with someone cruising soon and see if they'll buy the pin(s) for you while they are onboard. That's what I did earlier this year when a pin was released that I just "had to have"
The less desirable option is to try to purchase the pins on the secondary market (i.e. ebay).
Ebay or someone who is cruising.....sorry, we're not going again till Sept. DCL pins are exclusive to the ships, Castaway pins are sold only on the island.
It seems as though any DCL merchandise is exclusive to the ship. We didn't buy much on the ship since we were going to Disney World after that for a few days. So I figured we could pick some stuff up at DD, nope...nothing. There is no DCL merchandise anywhere off of the ship. I kick myself now for not buying those neat DCL scrap booking pages/kits.
My son, DS14, and I have had a lot of fun collecting pins on ebay. I had never used ebay before and I was surprised how easy it was. We have gotten several really wonderful pins we never would have had. If you want Disney Cruise...log on to ebay and serach for Disney Cruise Pins.....have fun!!
