This may be a dumb question but has anyone ever received a pin code in the mail or via email after they have booked a trip? :confused3

My wife and I just booked a trip for December and I figure there will be some sort of deal out there that we can take advantage of. I called CRO to see if there were any pins associated with my name but none right now.

Thanks
Ty

After you've booked, you can always call and check to see if your rate can be lowered - this includes PIN codes too.

If there's a lower rate available, they'll apply it for you! If you do this and end up with a lower rate within 45 days of travel, they may try and tack on a $50 change fee. Just ask them to check with Guest Services to see if that can be waived. :)

I was just about to post the same question.

We have already booked for September, and I was wondering if anyone has had any luck calling Disney and asking about PIN codes after they have already booked their trip. Obviously the PIN codes are an effort to get you to book, and I wasn't sure if I would be wasting my time checking on a PIN now.

I got the Free Dining pin email in February and our trip for this August was already booked. So, I would say that anything is possible. That being said, I've only ever received 2 Pin emails from Disney.

we've NEVER been offered one....we're going in March & then Oct....oh well still worth the trip:banana:

i do it all the time having an AP. i will go ahead and book my ressie and if a better deal comes out, i will change it. i went ahead and booked 3 trips w/my 40% flyer and for may the ap rates came out and it was a little bit cheaper and i changed it. i know i will have to change my sept. w/a free dining package when it comes out but it makes me feel better that i've booked my reservation.
good luck!

When you get an email PIN code, what is the address (or sender name) that it comes from? Is it Walt Disney World, Walt Disney Travel, something different...? Thanks!!!

In early Jan., DH and I booked 10 nights at ASMU at the AAA rate. About two weeks later we got a PIN for 40%. We then called and changed our reservation to POFQ. In between those two phone calls DH had e-mailed Disney asking if we could use a PIN that our son had received. (They confirmed what we already knew, "no", because he was not going with us.)

got in on a bounceback last aug for this aug (free dine) .
Then received an email for free dine with extended dates, so I re-booked to ADD days (as they would not add on my original bounceback, said the promo expired.
My sis and her kids had booked a deluxe for their bounceback (same time) and due to economy wanted to downgrade now....and told could not either, no longer available, they could give up free dine or stay where they were or cancel :(
When I called to extend our trip they told me I could get 3 rooms at the new extended rate code with free dine, so they got to downgrade, keep free dine and we are ALL returning.
First pin EVER and it worked well for us. Here's to future pins!!:wizard:
