Pin Code!

I just called CRO to check on AP rates for a trip my husband and I may take in March and found out I had a pin code attached to my name! With the code, I would have been eligible for a room discount plus an upgraded ticket -it would have included the water parks and hopping on a base ticket. The CM priced both out for me and it turned out the AP rate + 2 AP's and the pin code package - 5 nights WKL Woodsview + 6 day upgraded ticket were about the same! I am going with the AP rate only because we are going back in the fall, but thought I would pass this along in case anyone's planning on pricing out a trip - you just might have a pin code!!!!

Would be nice if they would let someone else use your pincode if you weren't going to use it. Maybe I should suggest that to Disney. I mean if they offered it to you and you weren't using it, then they should let you pick a person of your choice that could use it. How does everyone like that idea? :teeth:

Wow, this is great news that pin codes might be back. If you don't mind me asking, what would have been the price of the package at WL with the code?

And, yes, it would be nice if pin codes were transferable. Missed out on a couple in the past that I couldn't use.

I don't know how I got the pin code - I mean, I shop on the Disney site all of the time, just took a trip in December and just booked a room only trip for the fall two weeks ago. It was kind of weird that they would attach a pin code to my name AFTER I already booked a trip . . .??? It's not like they had to lure me in with anything!! They've obviously already done that!

Anyway - I would suggest, if you've been to WDW before, just call up and ask if you have a pin code attached to your name! You never know! They never mailed me, e-mailed me, nothing - it seemed like a total fluke. The CM literally said, "oh, you have a pin code!" I just wanted to let everyone know as it sounds like there has been a lack of codes lately and just wanted to pass the word that the pin codes seem to be coming out again!

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't this the regular public code that was offered not to long ago. I am pretty sure there was some sort of plus upgrade on the last package deal, can't remember for sure though.

ETA:
Yep I found it
January-March Magic Your Way Package Special
Coming Soon: a special offer on Magic Your Way packages will be offered for check-ins January 1-March 8, 2006. The special packages will include FREE Park Hopper and Water Parks & More features on your tickets (a value of $80 plus tax per person). I don't have details yet on whether the packages will be discounted in any other way, though the sample rates that have been floated suggest some type of discounting. Booking dates will be 11/3/05-12/18/05. Check back here on November 3 for full booking details. ( This is from mousesavers)

So if this was it, it was offered to the general public but can't be booked anymore. Unless they are offering Pin codes that are the same as public codes.

I don't think so as there was a discount on the room in addition to the upgraded tickets. Could be though . . . ??? With the pin code, it looks like the room was $65 off of the rack rate + I would have gotten the upgraded tix. Anyway - just thought I would throw this out there to anyone calling CRO in the near future. As I said, it was weird as the CM I spoke to about our fall trip never mentioned a pin code attached to my name and I never thought to ask - I will always ask from now on!!!!

Can you tell me what days in March your code was good for? I know the last deal was good until March 8th. We are arriving March 15th and just missed it by a week. I'm hoping there will be some kind of deal for us. AAA rates are OK, but I want something better!

Aha!! Yes, that sounds right! Huh? Well, looks like they extended the discount through these pin codes. You would think they would actually contact people and let them know they had the codes to encourage them to call and book it! Strange marketing strategy!

ADisneyQueen - the dates I checked were March 1 - 6.

The package I was quoted was about $1870 - that was for 5 nights WL Woods View and 2 adult 6 day tix with the added perks.

My mother is arriving the 15th or 16th as well and I have been keeping my eye out for rates for her as well.

Its getting crunch time.

Good luck everyone! I'm sending pixie dust your way with the hope you get a good deal!

I called to book a room at CBR for a last minute trip in May and the CM said that resort is full for those dates, but you do have a pin code attached to your name and I can offer you standard view at AKL for $124!! :thumbsup2 I had to pull my car over!!! I was very excited!!

This May we have rented DVC points and are staying at BWV,but we plan to add one night to our stay at another Disney resort. Kind of hoping I have another pin code this year???

Weird how that works!! :confused3 Guess just call and ask???? ;)

I had called last week and booked a room only, asked about the pin code and the CM said I'll check but we haven't had any of those in a while. Do you guys suggest that I keep calling back and checking even though I already booked? Or would it not be worthwhile, like they wouldn't attach a code to someone who already has something scheduled? What do you think?

I would definitely call back and ask! That's what happened to me and why I was so shocked. I had just called the week before to book our fall trip and the CM never mentioned a pin code. When I called about the spring, all of a sudden - there it was!! And I had already put a deposit down on the fall trip and everything - so there's an example of Disney giving a pin code to someone who already booked!!!

Could you please post the number to call to check for pin codes? Also, what information do they require? Just my name and address?

Thank you.

You just call Disney CRO as you would to book a regular reservation. They typically ask for name, phone number and address.
