Pin Code When Already Booked

What are the chances of getting a pin code when you are already booked at a resort where there is no present offer? I never get them and I am trying some new things to try to trigger one, like ordering the maps and saying we don't know for sure where we are staying. Also, my son and family have never stayed on-site before. What are the chances they would get one if I signed them up? I'm just afraid we aren't going to be lucky enough to be included in the next RO discounts. We really want to stay at BLT.

For the past 12 years I have done everything suggested to trigger a pin, but have NEVER got one. But we seem to always have a trip booked. My parents go every other year and get them constantly. But I have heard many people on here that have said they got pins with trips already booked and applied the pin to their reservation. So I don't know if there is any straight answer.

So you are already booked? I think just being booked can lower your chances of getting one because they already see you in their system as having a vacation booked. They send them mostly to get people to book that aren't already.

A lot of people get them under another name who isn't the sole planner... like my mother for example- she always books and plans the trips and my stepdad could care less, so he lets her do all the work. Almost every year a pin code comes in the mail and it is always under my stepdads name, never my Moms and they are able to use it if it fits their dates. Maybe make an account under your husbands name (if you are married), someone in the same household just not a kid.

In Fall of 2012, I received a free dining PIN and I had a trip booked in my name for February 2013. So it does happen! Disney always says they're completely random, and I think they actually might be.

We have a trip booked for September--with free dining. about 2 weeks ago, I received a PIN in the mail for free dining...I called and switched our reservation from CSR to POFQ since that resort isn't included in the free dining for the public offer. I was SOOOO excited!! So, yes, it does happen.
