Pin Code Question

I got a pin code for free dining sent to my email account. It is linked to my home address. The only problem? The name on the pin code is for a friend of mine that I made ADR's for. It is linked to my Disneyworld.com account and when I attempted to book (just to test), MY name came up. However, the name that the pin code is linked to is my friend. Like I said, all other info, including home address, is mine.
So my question is... can I use it?
I am paying $3670.13 for a cabin at Fort Wilderness with dining plan right now and this PIN would bring the total down to $3379.24. I would really like to use it if possible.

you have nothing at all to lose to make the call and see if there is another pin that has your name on it

That particular pin, unfortunately, no.

But I would definitely have them take your friend off your household so you aren't disappointed again in the future.

Since I really dont know but thought I would throw it out there.

cant you add that friend... then take her name off when you get there and replace it with someone else that is really going?

No. You can't get the deal if the named person isn't there.

Taking that person off would remove the discount.

In the same fashion that a CM discount for friends and family has to have a copy of the CM ID prior to arrival or they will remove the discount at check in.

Good luck with that. :sad2:

We travelled with our DD & her husband 2 years ago. Got 2 rooms, linked together. Started getting PINS in their names, to my email account. (All other Disney correspondence, except PINS is correct.) Move forward 2 years, they are divorced. I have tried everything to get them removed from my account. I'v even been given the phone no. for e-mail compliance. They said: have CRO remove them from your profile. Call CRO back: they say they aren't on my profile. They only see my DH & me. They have the email addresses correct for DD. That there's no way I should be getting emails for them.

The whole time I was on the phone with these 2 people, I was looking at the latest email addressed to my DD, that I had gotten the day before. :sad2: I told CRO CM I was concerned I would get codes that only my DD could use. She said they might make an exception, especially since they can't even see her on my profile. I'm not holding out hoope for that to happen.

I'm even considering closing this email account & opening another, just to try & clear this up. Good luck OP!

i've been getting pins emailed to me addressed to my father......but it's linked to my address so i was told (more than once) that I can use it b/c it's for my "household", even if he's not going.

I don't know how long ago that was, or if you maybe had gotten lucky with the CM, but as a general rule you wouldn't be able to use them.

Now (again, don't know if/when it changed) pins are attached to a specific person in the household instead of just the household, and they need to be going on the trip to use the pin. They're able to book up to 3 rooms with it, but they need to be there and the other rooms need to be for the same dates and resort.

This was a cpl. Weeks ago. The cm told me yes and when I kept asking if she was sure, she put me on hold and called over to somewhere {guest services I think she said} to confirm
