Hi all
My family of four (2 adults/2 kids) is headed to the WDW Resort for five nights at the end of September 2009. We have a quote right now for five nights at the All Star Music, free dining, and one day of park tickets for $761.

My question: Is that a good deal? Could we do better? Is there any pin codes or passwords that would help us? We're on a tight budget so any and all info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Well, pin codees are non-transfereable so unless you have been sent one no one here can give you one.

Personally I think your price is pretty good. For our trip we are going at the end of June and there are four of us - 2 adults/2 kids. We are staying for 7 nights (two more than you), have the DxDP, 7 days of park hopper tickers, and staying at the Beach Club and paid $4,200. Being able to take a family of four to Disney for under $1,000 is pretty amazing in my opinion.

My one question is, why do you only have one day of park tickets?

Hi,

Take a second and read the link in my signature about PINS and Codes.

Basically, only publicly available 3 letter codes *may* be of use or any PIN code sent directly to your home. PIN codes are not shareable.

Currently you're on the FREE DINING offer, other offers may become available but currently given your travel dates and group makeup, that's a good deal.

You cannot stack offers. For example, if you have free dining now and they then offer a 25% room discount, you cannot take advantage of both. You can have one or the other.

Hope this helps,

Knox

Hi-Thanks for the replies and advice going forward re: discounts.

We are only required at this point to purchase one day of tickets. We'll definitely be purchasing at least two more one day tickets (our goal in four days is to hit three parks and one water park).

Thanks again-any and all advice is much appreciated!

Are you aware that it is *much* cheaper to add days on to your already existing tickets that to purchase additional tickets? The average cost per day goes down significantly when you purchase multiple day tickets.

For example a one day base ticket is $79.88 for an adult. But a 4 day base ticket is $233.24 or $58.31 per day and 6 day base ticket is $239.63 or $39.97 per day. You may really want to rethink purchasing 'one' day tickets.

Hi. Since you're taking advantage of the free dining offer, you would not be able to add any other codes or discounts. If free dining is something that works for you and your family, it may be your best deal, IMO.:)
I also agree that you need to add days on to your ticket, and not buy days separately, to save $. $761 sounds like a good deal to me! :thumbsup2

You guys are awesome-great advice and super quick!

So, what would the cost be to add tickets for two days for a family of four? I think a non-discounted rate would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $280. Would we legit save $$ by adding those additional eight tickets to our package?

You should call back and confirm the cost but basically you'd be paying for 3 day tickets yes? You've already bought one day ticket in the base package?

The waterpark since you only want to go once you should just pay for those OOP. The cost of adding the waterpark option to your tickets exceeds the cost of a one day ticket.

As it should, since it would include 3 entrances to the waterparks.

For more details - see the Everything About Tickets sticky in my signature.

Hope that helps,

You can get 2 adult tickets and 2 children's tickets for one day for $276 before tax.

Adding on days, it's $548 for two days, $782 for three days, $806 for four days, and $818 for five days.

Prices taken from the Disney website, again, before tax. (which is 6.5% I think.) These are NOT park hopper prices, that would add $200 to the tickets overall, whether it's one day or 14.
