Pin code - can children check in?

I've got an odd set of circumstances I am hoping you all can help me figure out. I received a code (my first one! ) that covers the time my daughters (11 and 13) may be going to WDW with my parents and sister-in-law. Unfortunately, I'm probably not going to be able to go this time around. But, I'd obviously love to be able to use the code.

I know the code is limited to us and can't be transferred, right? But, since it's addressed to "The Smith Family", I'm hoping my girls can qualify to get to take advantage of the code. They have passports so they can prove their ID. I'd also happily send my credit card down with my parents so they'd have that too. So, I guess my questions is whether I can make the reservation for them (my daughters plus either my sister or parents) and get to use the code? What would that require, both at the time of the reservation and upon checkin?

Is this possible, or am I crazy?

Sorry, but no. The lead guest on any reservation must be at least 18 years old. You can't make a reservation in their names. They would be "additional guests" in the room.

Have to agree, only 18 years or older may make a reservation.

I think you might be able to use it. As long as the girls are listed as guests on the reservation then the discount should work.

People have reported being able to use PIN codes in the names of their friend who went with them five years when they weren't even going. I have a feeling that you might need to call a couple of times to get the right CM that knows how to do it. It is worth a shot.

You won't need to do anything upon checkin. You don't have to show proof of pin or anything like that when you get there.

Hmmmm. Very interesting. I'm definitely not looking to break any rules, but am hoping that my daughters can count as family members that are eligible for the code, even if they aren't adults yet. I guess I'll just call and see what I find out. Thanks!
