I got an email from US and a tthe very bottom was a PIN code for 35% off stay thru 6/8/12. We only stay one night so no use to me but FYI.......I wouldnt have noticed it if I hadnt went to the bottom of the email.

I wonder if those seasonal rates ever come out for September. :goodvibes

Cheers!

I deleted mine and had it sent to 2 email addresses. I checked my deleted box and there is was :)

Right now the FL Res rate is still better but this was a good find if they didnt have those.

Was that from having an account on the universal site? I signed up earlier today so I hope so....would love that discount!!! Thanks for the heads up so we will all make sure to look at any emails closely!!!

Yes I seem to get a postcard offer from them every 3 or 4 months. Occassional emails but as I said this email gave no clue of pkg deal or room rate until bottom. Talked about BMG and Mardis Gras etc. Sort of deceiving. I am much more into Disney than US and we only do one night so it is of no use to us but yes I am on their email and mailing list....

Scottmel, I noticed you aren't using this code....is this anything that can be shared? I have signed up for all Universal newsletters, but have yet to receive anything... No worries if this is not allowed to be shared, just figured I would ask as this would greatly benefit me!

Edited to say after doing some research, I discovered this is tied to an individual person's name and cannot be shared? I guess it is random who receives these? I have been on their mailing list for a couple years..

I sure wish I could share it! It is like disney PIN - unique number associated with our name and address. Sorry. Otherwise it would be yours in a second! We are only staying 1 night and using AAA for a discount. 10 or 20% I can't recall what it is....did you try that I assume?

Yep, right now I am booked from May 21st through May 24th at Portofino using the AAA rate. I noticed on the pricing thread the difference the pin code would've made though!! Well, maybe I will get something in the mail in the next month or so... I have been on their mailing list for quite awhile and haven't received anything yet, so maybe I am due for something.

Wowwwww waitasec I did get a pin code!!!!! It was in a harmless looking e-mail from March 8th.... talked about mardi-gras and new attractions. And sure enough, there at the bottom.....

Seeing about re-booking now!!!

I get postcards from them constantly and constant emails. Are you sure you are signed up correctly or they are not in your spam folder? Seriously I gt pincodes from them about every other or 3rd month. Disney? ha! once every 2 years MAYBE.

On the phone with them now....they can update my reservation and I end up saving $240 over the 3 nights!!!! AWESOME. I almost added a fourth night....but eh I will stick with the savings.

Edited to add:

Do you think I should upgrade to the deluxe room? By going with it instead of my initial regular room, I would still save $100 off my original booking price... anyone think it is worth it?

See told you it was some dinky email!!! ) Take the money and run...dont' do deluxe

Okay thanks for the advice!! And I just went and checked...after factoring in taxes and fees, the total savings difference was $300. Wow, it pays to come to this board...

Instead of deluxe, how about club level? I've never tried it but I would love to! :yay:
