We're going to WDW with a 2-year old and a 6-year old and want to trade pins for the first time. The kids each have a lanyard and a bunch of cheap pins to trade. In fact, so many cheap pins that we're already looking for better storage ideas. I can already tell that this could get out of hand quickly.

My question is how to best store and display all these pins? I've seen books, bags, and backpacks on some pin sites, but I don't know how many pins each holds or which makes the better display. And what site is recommended for a good price on one of these?

Or are there any other storage methods that work better? Thanks.

It really varies depending on what you want to do. A lot of the places selling the bags/backpacks will tell you how many pins (approx.) they will hold. Consider how often you are going to go trading and how easy each one is to carry. With a 2 and a 6yo, I would suspect that as the parent you'll do most of the carrying. :) Personally, I have a couple of ways to carry my pins. I have an over-the-shoulder type bag that I use to store and transport to pin meets. I have a fanny pack pin-bag that I plan on using at the parks. I have a notebook style that I'm storing traders that generally stay at home (I use to trade those online). I can mix and match the pins depending on what I want to take with me.

As to cost, shop around. Find what you'd like to get at a price you're willing to pay. Check online and on ebay. You may find a great bargain that way. If you want a list of places online to get one, let me know and I'll email/pm a list to you.

Hey Steve just to let you know as you have seen there are many ways to store your pins such as in bags, binders, etc. However, many of these things down in wdw are pretty expensive. A large pin bag down there costs $50 and a pin binder costs $20(which can hold 120 pins) If you are looking for anything cheaper here is a link to a website that i know where the prices are fairly cheaper for the amount of pins these binders and bags can hold. If you dont see anything there you can just email me at Yoda972 @Aol.com because I still have one extra of the disney store 100 years of dreams bags that I would gladly sell to you for what I paid which is $13 + whatever shipping is. In addition depending on how long it is until you go disney catalog is running a deal where you get a lanyard, pin bag, and a starter set of pins for $58. I hope I have been of some help to you
