Pilot Menu at Le Cellier, similar to The French Menu at Chefs de France

I read on All Ears that Le Cellier has a pilot menu option that includes the appetizer, entree, and dessert at a fixed price, similar to The French Menu at Chefs. I also read that (unlike at Chefs) if you are on the DDP that you can pick this option (including the appetizer) for your meal and your ts dining credit would cover the meal.

Does anyone who has dined there recently know which appetizers, entrees, and desserts are choices on the fixed pilot menu? TIA!

We ate at Le Cellier last week. The price for the pilot menu at dinner was either $36 or $37. I can't remember everything that was listed, but you had 3-4 choices for each course. From what I recall:

Appetizers: bowl of cheddar cheese soup, ceasar salad
Entrees: salmon, ravioli, prime rib (no steaks)
Dessert: creme brule, chocolate mouse

We were told we could use one TS credit on the DDP for this menu - so the appetizer would actually be included.

Thanks! If this menu is still in place in a couple of weeks, I might give it a try with the prime rib. My favorite steak, the maple filet, is off the menu and I was thinking of giving the prime rib a try anyway.

It's great marketing by Disney. They offer you a choice of 2 really cheap appetizers and then steer you toward the cheaper entrees.

It's the Porcini Mushroom Ravioli.

Sorry I can't recall all of the items - I stopped looking once I saw the filet wasn't included .

Disney continues to streamline. I am not sure why they just don't make all the TS restaurants into counter service restaurants so they can push more people through faster and make more money from people who never dined at TS over the past decades.

The prime rib is very good. On our visit I got the prime rib and my DW had the strip. We both love ribeye steak and with the prime rib being the same cut she was jealous of my meal. You would have though it was a steak.

Yes, we ate here last week and saw the new menu section at the top. I thought it was interesting and the server pointed it out. I didn't see any savings, though. We were there for lunch, so no steaks on the menu, mostly sandwiches.

It could also help them to move guests through the restaurant faster. They may have a lot of DDP people choosing that, because they get some kind of appetizer and dessert both, where they normally wouldn't. But by limiting the choices available, it will be possible to take the entire order at the beginning of the meal, and have the server timing the meal for maximum efficiency. If they notice it's popular, they can also streamline the kitchen accordingly.

I don't necessarily thing fixed price meals are a bad thing - sometimes they can save you a little money. I'd just have to try it myself to see.

I'll be trying that option on my September trip. I'm a vegetarian and I was going to order the ravioli anyway. Now I'll be able to get an appetizer that I wouldn't of had before.

Prime Rib is the same cut of meat as the ribeye, just prepared differently. (In the oven vs. the grill)

Prime Rib is good, but it is a fatty cut of meat, so people who do not like fat probably won't like it as much.

but boy is it good,the fat is was lends the flavor,and with a great crusty seasoned outer coat, and au jus and some horseradish um um like we say in the South make you wanna slap ya mama!it is off the chain!!!If cooked right!
