Piercings at the Presentations?

I have a very small nose ring, and I know that I will have to take it out and let it heal if I go do the CP. But do I need to worry about having it at the presentation at my school? Will there be any chance that having it in could hurt my chances of getting accepted?

I would just hate to remove it, and then not get to do the program for some reason, and have to get it repierced.

you don't need to adhere to the disney look guidelines until you check in.

since they aren't doing anything at the presentations any more except showing the presentation, answering questions, and signing up people for telephone interviews, it doesn't matter how you dress or what you look like.

as long as you are comfortable knowing that you will have to take it out if you accept an offer, then you will be fine.

good luck!

If you dress up for it, they do make a note of it so your interviewer knows, And that cant hurt your chances of being chosen. I know that doesnt really go along with your nose piercing question, but i thought i'd mention it.

Just my 2 cents

It shouldn't hurt your chances as long as it isn't large and obnoxious looking.

After I found out that you still do your actual interview over the phone even if you go to the presentation on campus I decided to just do the E-presentation. I personally have two lips rings, nose ring, and tragus (inner ear). I would not have woren them in if I was doing the interview in person.

When I interviewed for my CP (I did the Fall Adv. 07 program..) and I got the chance to interview in person. At the time I had two piercing in each lobe, an uppper cartilage ear piercing, rook (inner ear) piercing, my nostril and my tongue pierced. I don't believe he made mention, but when asked about tattoos, I said I have three which are completely covered by clothing and I'm willing to remove my piercings to abide by the Disney Look. It's a different situation than most will run into, but I showed up with them all in (granted, everything was small and discrete) and without anyone asking said I would remove them to comply with Disney policy.

I had roommates however that kept their nostril piercings (among others..) and just took out the jewelry while at work.

You can wear your nose ring when you're not at work. You sound like you recently were pierced and it's not recommended for removal until it is fully healed which is about three months if I recall correctly (I pierced mine almost 6 years ago so I'm a tad foggy). You can always get a retainer for the presentation if you're concerned.
