Piece milling a reservation

i searched around the forum and haven't really been able to get the answer. We are going to be there from 1/3-1/17. Because of the marathon weekend (which I'm in) and MLK weekend (also daughter's bday), our dates are set but reservations were more than tight. I was able to make like 4 reservations over the course of the weekend to finally get all the days covered. To make a long story short, I have it down to (possibly) changing site types for one night. I'm hoping to get that changed to preferred between now and then, as well. I talked to the reservation desk over the weekend. They were unable to combine all of my reservations into one, even though they were the same level of campsite. The chat gal told me that the campsites are usually assigned the day before. Even so, I plan on calling the campground office directly. My question is this: Has anyone made multiple reservations and had any luck getting them "fused together", so that we only have to check in once??? It seems nuts that the reservation desk can't override the system to combine them into one!

I was able to get it done. I had 3 separate reservations, all for a premium site.
10/8/16 - 10/14/16
10/7/16 - 10/8/16
10/14/16 - 10/15/16.

I called and CM combined them all and I kept my 1st confirmation number. It did take a couple of days to show up on MDE.

It may be easier (and less painful) to do it when you check in. Personally, I like to go INSIDE the building and talk to them there to get things accomplished. Our last trip had some "Wrinkles" in it. The CM at the "outside" check-in (booths) just didn't seem all that bright. She was very nice and very bubbly, but just didn't seem to bright. Also, when you go inside, if they have to check with the "Back office" they can go and talk to them directly and there is also a supervisor that can help resolve issues.

When checking in, you could ask them to resolve all the reservation issues at that point. Often times, it seems to me that the closer you are to the dates of concern, the easier it is for them to resolve those types of issues.

Hope it all works out for you and that you have a great trip.

Thanks for the quick replies! I am starting to see why a lot of people complain about the website. I am stuck on a page and every time I input information on it to modify the reservation, it simply refreshes, ugh! I have a toddler, perhaps after she goes down for her evening nap. But, I digress. I appreciate everyone's quick response about the possibility to merge reservations. My poor husband kept picturing us having to move every couple of days--and I'm pretty sure he wasn't very happy about that, lol.

Bama Ed, I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you while we are there. I have a sneaking suspicion you'll be that guy with Roll Tide all over the place :P I'm a GA girl that married a WI guy...Go Pack Go!!! We aren't hard to pick out either :D

At worst, Ozgood, you would have to go up to the Fort lobby and "check in" again at the start of each reservation. You wouldn't have to move unless the type of site for the new reservation is different from the current reservation. (Old site was a Preferred, new site was a Premium for example).

The other thing is this plays havoc getting Magic Bands (each reservation will trigger a new set of Magic Bands unless you go in and deny them or at least all but the first reservation set) plus making ADR's (180+10) although you are inside that window already.

Yeah, just look for all my Bama stuff at my campsite. I'll be easy to find.

Ozgood, we are also Packer fans, and will be there at the same time. Our site will display our cheesehead cows! Go Pack Go. Safe travels.

I had two reservations a 10 day and a 13 day back to back. I just called Disney Travel, told her I'd like them put together and she said no problem. It took about five minutes to complete. So maybe start small and work it into one big one over the course of a few days.
