Pie That Brownie, Fruitcake! Updated Post #1832 - The End

Greetings my friends! We are officially on vacation even though we don't leave for WDW until the 14th. This gives us plenty of time to get organized and finish packing. It also gives me plenty of time to recover from the unintentional tenderization I gave myself yesterday.

Stinktown was on the receiving end of anywhere between 3-4 inches of rain between early Thursday morning and Friday afternoon, so to say that things were wet and slippery is an understatement. And when you're a clumsy girl like me ... well, let's just say that I left the office to run an errand yesterday at lunch and found myself planted in the parking lot on my butt faster than you can say, "dont trip on those painted lines!"

The good news is that while I feel like someone has beaten the left side of my body with a baseball bat, it's no worse today than it was yesterday and my mobility hasn't been impaired (just don't touch me ... that hurts right now!).

Better news came in the form of a phone call from Y&B Club private dining about the birthday cake I ordered for next week's DISmeet ... not only are they going to top the cake with a white chocolate Goofy statue, they are going to paint him for me, too!!!

I cannot wait to see the final product next week and share cakey goodness with my DISfriends!!!

Jason and I are so excited and honored to be able to spend your birthday with you!
Please stop beating yourself up .. you can still drink with your right hand but if you do any more damage the Ditch will have to put your margarita in a Sippy cup!

We will be heading back to Food & Wine on Thursday Oct. 15 and I'll be looking for you. I'll try to wear my "Guest of Honor" badge with my name on it so you might find me too. We are scheduled for some of the same Signature dinners as you.

Thanks Kat. I'm less sore today than yesterday and hopefully will continue that trend. For a couple of seconds there while I was sitting in the parking lot wondering what had just happened I was thinking ... "please don't let me have ruined another trip before it even starts ..."

And last night to make the achy feel better we shared some yummy beers and had some pizza.

Hey Christine! Thanks for stopping by to say hello. I was jealous while you were on your trip so does that balance everything out somewhat? Come the end of October we can all console each other with lovely food porn and lengthy restaurant reviews. It will make getting through the winter that much easier. Thanks Denise! I did wonder there for a moment just how many people might have seen me butt surfing in the parking lot but then I was too busy thinking, "OUCH!" to worry about that any longer!

I hope the cake turns out as great as I now expect it to ... I'm almost worried that my expectations are going to be too high at this point.

Alright everyone ... I know I said I was done changing things but I spoke too soon. I just canceled Citricos on the 15th and replaced it with dinner at Bistro Paris. The menu at Bistro just sounds more appealing right now, so that's what we decided we wanted for dinner. And then we're going to meet some friends for some boozing around the Epcot resorts.

I find this a highly satisfying way to cap off our first full day at the world.
