We keep meaning to have homemade pie on pi day -- we got that from a math nerd in the extended family. They like to make several varieties and invite friends over.

This year I put it on our schedule and plan to make fresh strawberry pie.

What's your favorite pie for pi day?

My daughter is currently trying to memorize pi to 1000th digit for a school pi day contest. I need to make her a homemade pie for that day what a great idea! Apple pie is my favorite!!

My son did that when he was 9, just because he loves math that much. It didn't take him long. He watched a YouTube video a few times and had it.

He's the one who makes the chocolate cream "pi" every year. He's 17 now.

I always want to do this but then I forget - I need to put it in my phone calendar.
DD18 gave up sweets for Lent, which means we all gave up sweets for Lent - LOL! We can’t eat sweets in front of her - that would be rude. Maybe next year I’ll get a pie on pie day, because she’ll be at college then 🙂👍🏻

We are a nerdy family, always notice Pi day.....I don't make pie though.
DD's science teacher in high school always brought pie in for 3-14.
We were excited when we bought the lot for our house and it was lot 314.
We went to many Halloween parties as pumpkin pie with an orange tee with pi sign on it and a pumpkin stem hat

Or pizza pie.

Our local ice cream place has a Pi Day special. They have several types of pi with a scoop of ice cream for $3.14. I am already planning on it. Blueberry or apple would be my choice.

When my kids were in middle school, they had a math teacher who would celebrate Pi Day. I always sent in chocolate chip cookie pie because it was easy and transported well.

How about chicken pot pie for dinner? That's our traditional pi day dinner.

I never thought of a pot pie and I actually make a pretty darn good one. Thank you both for pointing out there’s other pies outside of desserts 🙂👍🏼

In all seriousness, I was born on 3:14 pm, but I can't recall ever hearing about Pi day until this thread. The nearby taco place has a taco-pie thing, that's what I'll do.

I wish my engineering major would be home for pi day. We would most certainly celebrate. And I wished she liked pie. I'd send her one.
