You know how in the parks you can give the photo pass photographers your camera and they'll take pictures with your camera too and it's not a big deal?

Is it the same way on the ship? Will they take pictures with your camera at the character meets etc?
 
Yes they will. They are actually very good about it. They will offer to take a pic with your camera.

Well, kind of...the actual photographers from Shutters are not authorized to take pictures with your camera, but if you are at a character meet and greet, the character handler will take a picture if you ask. If you are on one of the "pretty backdrops" there was no one there to assist and take photos with our camera.

Originally, my plan was to have them use our camera and not buy a photo package, but they stand so far away to take the picture. The pros use remote flash set up on stands to back light the indoor shots... I could not get a good shot ( tried manual mode, adjusting ISO, shutter speed and fstop) with my onboard flash, so I just sucked it up and bought the photo package.
 

Right, the Shutters people will not touch your camera (they are not cast members.) If there are characters being photographed, then there are cast members there who can/will use your camera.
