I am really looking for help with a hairstyle. First, I have very thin hair, about the top of shoulder length, and bangs. The bangs are not going anywhere, I have deep lines in my forehead and I am not into botox:-) So, growing them out won't be happening. I want my hair up, it will also be HOT, August 29th. I am using Lisa Penne, which I am very nervous about because I hear good and bad,I I don't really have any suggestions for my hair, and I guess I am nervous about just placing it in her hands with no picture. would anyone be willing to post their hair-dos OR any links for me? Thank you so much!!!!

I don't have any photos, but I have VERY thin hair as well!!! I am thinking about doing extensions... the clip in kind. I am going to be wearing my hair down though, but I am nervous about having just anyone do my hair because it's very difficult! I would love to see some pics!!

I'm interested in this as well. I am getting married in July, but I want my hair down no matter how hot it is! I have a BIG face and HUGE ears and my hair looks really bad all pulled back. I'm going to try for like a Jessica Simpson type style, but I'm looking for pictures to take with me too!

I'll post if I find any for you.

I've got very fine hair (even child-sized barrettes slip out) and big ears (in relation to my small head). I thought about extensions, but decided I'd rather keep it simple. I hate how my hair looks all pulled back in a pony-tail, so I didn't want anything too severe looking. I was planning to wear my hair half-up, half-down to disguise my ears. But my stylist (Naomi from About Face) talked me into all up, since it will be so hot and humid. (Sept. 2nd wedding.) And I was surprised and very happy with the results. My mom took some pictures in the hotel room afterwards. Not the best quality, but I'm happy to share. It looks like I'm too new to this board to be allowed to post images (or maybe I just couldn't figure it out), so I just posted them in a web page: worthington-biochem.com/Lisa

Very cute! I'm worried about the humidity too so I'm still on the fence, but I have really broad shoulders and I just think having it down will look better.

I just want to tell everybody that you can go to rockyou.com and upload images and they will give you the image code right away. Just copy it and paste it thats it. I find this easier than photobucket.

here are a couple pics from my bridal portraits. now for the day of teh wedding I had her do it a little lower, it was a bit to high for teh portraits, but she basically just put my hair in rollers then put my hair in a few small sectioned ponytails and pinned up the curls...and then sprayed the heck out of it! i did want to wear it down or some up soem down, but i KNEW it would be a lloonngg day and my hair would go flat, and I knew i would be dancing a lot so it made the most sense. hope this helps!

Wow! Your hair looks absolutely beautiful!! Thank you for posting the pictures. Sounds like you have pretty "cooperative" hair. My stylist tried hot rollers, to give my hair some body, but the curls fell out almost immediately. I think she ended up "faking" curls by just teasing it a lot (gently, though.)

Thank you for posting the pics!! Your hair looks great! Who did your hair for the big day? also, I know this is silly, but do you have any pics of the pic a little closer, the way you have yours would work for me so I would love to be able to show Lisa. Thanks again!!!! Keep 'em coming.

catwub- I am not sure if you are talking to me but if so, I unfortunately didn't get married in Disneyworld :sad1: but here is a closer pic of my hair. if you go to my wedding pics at the bottom of my signature (i hope they are still up) there are a few professional close ups of my hair etc. this pic was from my bridal portraits and i had her "tone it down" a little, but it held up really well.

4orm .....Your hair is awesome!!
I wish I was brave enough to do stuff like that! Cheers to you

I have fine thin hair & forehead wrinkles too

I had my hair up & I loved it...its about going all out....I just worked with what I got..up or down, do whats comfortable & what you like...& keep an open mind & remember....product(like volumizing, mousse, etc) is a girls best friend;)

as for the wrinkles, I apply some creams to help with minimizing them & nowadays thay have so much to try, I havent found THE perfect cream yet, but if I do , I will let you know...some are so pricey & Im afraid to spend all that money & get zero results.
ld never to the injections either..OUCH!!

good luck
I need to get more of my pics online

I opted to go half up and half down (having all my hair up was too severe for the shape of my face). Sorry some of these pics are blurry!

Hope that helps, or at least gives you something to consider.

Awesome choice:thumbsup2

I have very thin, fine hair and I go through spurts of cutting it and growing it. I love bangs, DH doesn't like them, but I think I have a really high forehead and like to keep it covered. Right now I'm growing it and restraining myself from cutting it all off again - it's hard! I was going to just wear it short, as usual, for the wedding, but then I saw a style I really wanted with a tiara/headband. My hairdresser used a blow dryer, curling iron, and at least 1 can of hairspray. I loved how it looked on our wedding day - exactly what I wanted and even better than the trial hair. My hair is so thin though I could never duplicate it! Here are some pictures (some are blurry, from the Disney lo-res CD):

Here's the day after the wedding - no hairspray! You can see what she had to work with and I don't know how she got so much volume and curls out of this:

I cut it this short about a month after the wedding and kept it until last Sept. when I started growing it again:

Super short like this really works for me, my hair is SO thin, but I wanted to see how some length would look. I know it probably won't last . . .
