Pictures of things No Longer Seen at WDW

I was seriously addicted to VMK. Probably better that is closed lol. My daughter and I played Pirates as a team in the same room on different computers and we pretty much rules the 7 seas lol. DW owned the fireworks game........ miss it a lot. I wish they would just release the games to play again, I miss them!
You can play them here....http://www.myvmk.com :)

Where was this? I have a memory of eating a character breakfast on a boat as a kid, but I've never known where that was.
The Empress Lilly was on the lake, across from the Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village. It is now "Fulton's", and added development has resulted in the boat being connected to the rest of Downtown Disney. But it used to sit alone by itself. The Character Breakfast was held in The Fisherman's Deck.

Here is a photo of what the area used to look like before it became Downtown Disney and West Side.

Nope. The original "Love Boat" launched in 1971 as the Sea Venture and sailed for Princess between 1975 and 2002 under the name Pacific Princess. After that, it was leased out to Quail Cruises out of Spain. It has since been scrapped. The second ship used for exterior shots on the Love Boat show was the Island Princess. It began life in 1972 as the Island Venture and sailed for Princess from 1974 until 1999. Neither ship was ever owned or operated by Premiere.

It was not always affiliated with Disney. It sounds like when you went on the ship, it wasn't. When Disney was running cruises on it, the tie in was very obvious, and yes, there were characters on board. Couldn't miss them. So if the ship was not advertised as a Disney cruise, and there were no Disney characters on board, then that would have been a time when it had no relationship to Disney. After Disney cut ties, Premiere started running cruises with Looney Tunes (or Warner Brothers) characters. That didn't last too long.

Yes, when we took the girls in 1995, it was Premiere. They had the Looney Tunes on board. But we still able to used our DVC points.

As a Disney/Walt Disney World fanatic I'm loving this thread, thank you for the wonderful photos and memories.

Here's my contribution. Circa 1997, MK still had the Birthday Cake Castle. I'm sure someone has already posted that. Here's a nice view of Space with the Skyway.

I even remeber the videos as you were waiting in the long line (once you got to the switchbacks) about the poor alien worker who didn't send the things FedEx and kept getting in trouble. Or something like that lol.

This is me with Orange Bird in 1978 I believe.

Remember the Magic parade. The song from this parade still gets stuck in my head. Did they invite kids to be in the parade? I vaguely remember this.
