btw...you can click the "edit" button (then "go advanced") on your posts and delete the unwanted image url and add the new URL link to that post. That way you don't have to create a new one each time. You can also hit "preview post" before you submit it to see what it will look like.

Funny! That wasn't me helping you, it was my ds14. I kept telling him to explain it better (he did my picture for me and that was him in the photo with Kuzco at age 6) but he's a better doer than explainer.

We met Governor Ratcliffe and the Evil Queen last week, both of which I was surprised at as I'd never seen them before -not sure if that makes them rare though, I may just be unobservant.

Where and what time of day did you meet these guys?

Govenor Radcliffe meets daily at DAK.
Snow Queen meets daily at DHS.
Jiminy Cricket meets daily at DAK.
Foulfellow and Max meet randomly at Epcot, MK, and DHS.

I know some of those photos are taken at other locations, the above list is based on their current locations.

While Marie is random currently, rumor is she'll be a daily meet and greet character in France starting this October (but I'm not sure for how long).

To me, rare characters are those that hardly ever come out for meet and greet opportunities, even though you may seem them in parades and shows. Retired characters are those that have been completely removed and no longer make appearances at meet and greet or in shows/parades.

Kuzco would be considered retired... so a gem for those who met him when he was available. (Hercules is also retired).

Here are some current RARE meet and greet characters:
Megara from Hercules
Bert from Mary Poppins (Went away Sept. 2008)
Snow Prince from Snow White
Atta from A Bug's Life

The following are considered Rare most of the year, but they come out for special parties (MNSSHP, MVMCP):
Tarzan and Jane from Tarzan
Abu from Aladdin
Bullseye from Toy Story 2
Prince Philip from Sleeping Beauty
Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates
7 Dwarfs from Snow White
Cruella from 101 Dalmatians

That's not a full list by any means - but I hope it helps out the confusion!

I was trying to find out if they met them during the big character deal at the Animation Building at 5 PM at DHS. Their photos were outside, and that is usually inside the building, so I am looking for further info. Does that meet & Greet go outside sometimes? I just don't want to miss out!

Does anyone know if Captain Jack will be making an appearance at MNSSHP this year for pics? We've seen him in the parade every year, but never for a meet and greet.

We saw Marie in Epcot...before you get to the Character Spot...coming back from WS after bfast. My kids went NUTS! Pic in trip report.

Questions on the teardrop:

1) How often do you check back there

2) If you find characters there once, will they likely be different there if you go back later

3) If you ask a CM to call the character hotline, will the characters at the Teardrop (or for that matter Animation Building at DHS) be included in the info they get?
