Pictures of an Empty Park?

these pictures are great. I am hoping I can add to the great collection once we go... Never saw the park w/o anyone!!

We were there Dec 2 for breakfast at the castle before the park opened. The park was FAR from empty, they were getting ready to tape the Christmas parade. If I had turned around in this same spot and took a picture you would have seen what seemed like a thousand people in Christmas gear waiting for the parade. I was very excited to get this one with no people.

Very nice!

Lovin' these pics of empty parks in September. I'm planning a Mother/ Daughter trip for then, and it gives me hope for low crowds. :cloud9:

My next 2 trips are mid-May and the end of June, so it looks like early character breakfasts are my only hope for empty parks during that time of year, but if I get lucky, I'll be sure to takes some pictures!

As I promissed, I'm sharing some pictures from our trip last September.
Very low crowds.

Fantastic photo's :cool1: , We've never seen it this quite apart from maybe in 2003 before our DD's were at school. We'll be back on the 31st May so maybe we can hope for a little piece of magic when we go for our early Character meals pixiedust:

I would have to drag the DS and DD out of school for this kind of easy going day--Hummm.:teacher: That is just sooo tempting.

these pics are from Thursday March 9, 2007 at the MK! there was nobody there and we were just walking onto rides!!! i loved it!!

Metsfan, I am really loving this thread. It's great to see the parks somewhat empty, you notice so much in pictures that you don't normally see in the crowds. Thanks for starting it! :thumbsup2

No problem!

I feel the same way about these pictures! They show things that you wouldn't (or couldn't!) see during a normal day. :cool1:

Ditto!!! Thanks Metsfan!:dance3:

I love looking at empty park pics- that is my favorite time to go- it has been a science to me to find a good time. We used to go in Oct and it was great- but then with all the talk of the F&W- more and more people are starting to attend- we have been to 3 F&Ws and the first one- in '96 was DEAD! But each time after- it started getting a bit more crowded. So we gave up on Oct.

We then went at the beginning of Dec 'o4 and '05- our mistake- Pop Warner- did that 2 years in a row-

then in Sept '06 we almost narrowed it down ( I will do the week right after Labor day next time- we went on the 16th)

and then, we also tried the Monday after Thanksgiving through the first weekend in Dec '06 (left right before the Pop kids were going to arrive - so that wasnt bad either)

I would stick with Sept though- even though its hurricane and love bug season- its not the "crowd" season!:thumbsup2

Great pictures everyone! Here's a couple from Oct. 1, 2006 before our 9:00AM CRT breakfast. :goodvibes

As for narrowing your search down, I also agree that early September (right after labor day) is the best time to go . The time we usually go is the last week of August, which is just before we go back to school. In the future, I think we will push it back a little bit and go in the middle of September. From looking at all of these great pictures, I think it may be worth a couple of days of missed school. :cool1:
