These are some pics from a quick adults-only getaway we took last weekend to see a couple musical artists (Nick Lowe and Ron Sexsmith) who were perfroming at the Fine Line Music Cafe, a 300+ seat venue in Minneapolis (7.5 hours each way from Winnipeg, plus border crossing time). The pics of the performance were taken with my trusty 3.2 mp Powershot S1 IS at 400 ISO at f2.8 and had a bit of noise reduction applied. I was considering taking my Rebel XTi, but didn't want to get turned away at the door. I saw someone else sneak out their Nikon DSLR for a couple pics, but it looked like a bit if a pain, so I'm glad I just took my small camera.

A few of the way down:
THe mighty Grand Inn in Fargo, ND - $39 per night - old but very clean. Good place to rest your head!

You're right, both the colors and weather have been beautiful!! We live on the mid-coast but always like to make a trip up to Greenville once each fall just to see the foliage up there.

I love about 30 mins south of portland but my parents moved to Etna - just outside of Brewer -about 4 years ago so i travel north frequently.. I am going to the fryeburg fair tomorrow with my son for his 11th bday

Have fun!! I haven't been to the fryeburg fair since I was a kid. I still remember that was the fair that I rode the Zipper for the first time and I was petrified...crying and screaming like I was surely going to die!! Funny thing is, I haven't been on the Zipper since, apparently once was enough!!

I can't see the middle pic of your backyard. I love the Point Loma area. I visit the Lighthouse and the tide pools quite a bit.
