Pictures From Your Part of the World

Went to Tucson to play soccer with my Sister-in-law Jen and her husband Joe. Took some pics of a monsoon passing through.

Josh125 ~ I was waiting for someone to ask about Chinaman's Hat!!! I know it's a funny name, but the island (also know as Mokoli`i - "little lizard") got it's name because it resembles a hat worn by folks in China. Don't know if it'll work, but here's two links that'll tell you a little more about it. Pretty interesting.

Virgo10 ~ Thanks for the comment. I hope you get to visit Hawaii one day! Make sure you stay country side for the scenery!

Or they would be attaching some sort of significance to where the "arrow" was pointing..!! ;)

Nice shots everyone - I love looking at these, as I probably won't make it to many of these places, but it is lovely to see through the eyes of locals.

Thanks.

Here's a shot of a cool church steeple that I like the conditions this morning. Clouds and the sun just peeking over the mountains to paint the Golden Bugle Boy.

Nice pictures. I just realized yesturday that this ship was in Boston last month. I wish I had known. I would have loved to see it. I think I'll get another chance as Boston will be a host harbor once again for another Tall Ships event. 2009 is the next big sailing armada. Will be the largest fleet of tall ships to hit the US shores at one time since 2000. I can't wait. It is VERY cool. In 1992 there were over 100 tall ships in Boston and about the same for 2000. What a sight to behold. Everything from the largest at just under 400 feet long to the small ones under 100 feet as well as some military ships from different navy's around the world. In 1992, they had the Mayflower be part of one of the Parades around Cape Cod.

Thank you!!

Every year we have different ships for the annual Festival of the Bay in Old San Juan.

We saw only 2 this time, the other one from Colombia.

My son would love to be in Boston for 2009 with all those ships
