We have decided to all go as pirates to the MNSSHP. My husband, me, 8 year old DD, 6 year old DD and 3 year old DS. pirate:

Does anyone have any simple ideas for costumes? We want something cute and easy? not too hot to wear.

I'm thinking the store bought ones might not be too comfortable to wear all night?:confused3 Not to mention too expensive....

Does anone one have any pictures or ideas to share?

Thanks:goodvibes

Thrift stores, goodwill, and salvation army. Look for pants, vests, striped clothing, and maybe flowing skirts for girls.

Ripped pants, ripped sleeves, some dirt and a little layering makes the perfect pirate costume.

It will also be a fun project to get the costumes ready before the trip and cheaper.

We made our from thift shop clothes, excluding the white linen shirt which I got at TJ Maxx for $10 each and a belt from a costume store for $5. I think the grand total of both customs together was under $60.
We went to P&PP in these costumes. We were tickled because another guest stop us and asked us about Aladdin's show, I was like "I am not sure when it is but it is in that direction" as we walked away her husband told her we didn't work there. She was embrassed and said ,"but they look like the do." We were tickled that she thought we did pirate:

We trying to think of what to go as for MNSSHP ourselves :confused3
