Hehehehee... No more AP... have 1 day left on a 4day a friend bought me, probably going in Jan... working to get familiar with the new camera. So far, it exceeds expectations. Happy!

Kathy, What photosite do you upload to in order to post here? I upload to smugmug, which has editing features. It also lets me go to picnik.com to edit. I think Picnik is really easy to use. - Deb

I don't know when everyone will be ready to move from the holiday photos...I just got back from WDW-first Dec trip, so I have so many...

POTD: (The editing isn't quite right, but I love his expression and the composition.)

I use photobucket. I'm sure (I think) that you can edit there but I'm afraid to try it by myself. I'm afraid I'll lose all my pics forever or hit the wrong button and blow up the computer!

Have two thoughts on this.

First, the Hat has to go.

Second, this is a really good shot and I need to do it again when there are no special adornments in place.

Thanks! ...but sorry - no fireworks setting.
I had the Nikon D7000 on full Manual mode.
Aperture f/14. ISO 100. Manual focus to Infinity.
I used the Nikkor 28 - 300 mm zoom at 28 mm focal length.
I also had a 0.9 Neutral Density filter on the lens (to avoid blown-out highlights).
It was a 40 second exposure - of course with a tripod and a remote shutter release.
A little post-processing was done in Adobe Camera Raw and PS CS5.

Kathy: I have used the editing on photobucket with no problems.. you can play around with your picture in editing without ruining anything... when you get a result that you like THEN click 'save a copy' or 'replace original'... you still have your original on your computer - unharmed - because what is on photobucket is a copy anyway! go ahead and give it a try! You can always cancel the editing anytime without changing the picture!
