Picture of the Day - Chatter Thread

This view is going to be so messed up by that new tower by CR. :sad1:

How tall are they building?

It's supposed to be a 15 story tower, located where the north wing was, which should effectively block most of the MK view from the photographer's vantage point. I miss the north wing!:guilty:

YNOTTONY99,last year we both got in one of the little boats,it was so slow .We were right on the weight limit. You can get a whaler and put 5 or6 people in it for 36 dollars a half hour.I think that is the price. It's not fast but you have a lot more room.I'll do it again the next time I'm at the fort. You can rent them from any of the resorts.I hope this helps.

We rented the pontoon boats..(which I've always wanted to do)..and found that to be a very relaxing way to spend an hour. We rented them when the WL had the marina/bike rental plan where you paid about $200.00 for the week, with unlimited use of the boats and bikes..including the water sprites which the kids rented daily. We rent the bikes a few times to ride over to FW. It was a tremendous value for our family of 5. We rented the pontoon for an hour..they had a 1/2 hour limit if it was a busy time and other people were waiting. I'm sorry to say on our last visit (May 07) the plan was no longer available, so kids rented the sprites only twice. They do give you a AAA discount if you ask..they don't advertise it though. We also had a discount coupon for the water sprites as we booked a package with dining. It was my understanding that at one time FW had the same unlimited family type plan. Just wondering..does anyone know if they still offer it?:confused3

Thanks. This would be something new for us,pirate: and all things considered, seems like a pretty good price. If they have that family rate Auntie is talking about that would be great!!! :sail:

That sign really needs to have a kid in the carriage wearing Mickey Mouse ears ;)

That's It! Someone start a Colson's Crossing thread. Whenever anyone goes to the Fort, they have to take a pic of themselves at Colson's Crossing. Maybe a "Picture of the Day at Colson's Crossing" thread.:thumbsup2

haha!!!! Thanks for that pic, that is great. I'll have to try to remember to take a picture at Colson's Crossing next time we're at the Fort.

And yes, we'll be there the 2nd through the 4th, but at Disney, not at the Fort. We were going to stay at the cabins but with the new baby on the way we decided to save money so we're staying at the All Star. Doubt we'll ever make it to the Fort that weekend, we have a large group going and I'm not sure I could coordinate all that...lol.

I'll definitely be at the Food and Wine festival next Saturday though!!

Is that true? That the FW pool is open 24 hours? Too bad it will be WAY to cold to swim when we get there.

You would be amazed at the number of "Polar Bears" that swim in the pool in the colder weather!! I see you're a Southerner - and have much more sense regarding acceptable swimming temperatures!! :rotfl:

The pool water MUST be 80 before I'll go in!:cloud9:

Yes, the pools are open 24 hrs and with the summer crowds its better to swim at 2am. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe all Disney pools are heated for your winter swimming enjoyment. Years ago we stayed off site for Xmas and the hotel had a heated pool. It was fun to swim late at night on Xmas eve when the temp was below 40 degrees. However, the mad dash across the parking lot was not fun.

Jeeze, I was cooking dinner..and this was not an appetizing site. :confused3

Was it tranported to a local hospital so as to not have officially died on WDW property ?
