Picture of the Day - Chatter Thread

Nice pumpkins, but you have to see the sign with the price of only $13.95 each. Yikes!

How cool. This site has it's own "pond"

You could literally fish from your TT......

Nice clean site......ok, did someone bring their rake from home and "nice it up"? :lmao:

I don't think that anyone has ever posted a photo of the Meadows Chuck Wagon (at least not from this angle):

For any newbies- this is where you buy your marshmallows and snacks at the campfire/movie. The door opens up, and there is a walk up service window.

Does anyone know if the Chuck Wagon is opened back up yet the last time we were there it was closed for refurbishment and they were selling some stuff under the porch of the other building?

Don't know if ya'll want to know this, but we were told that the Chuck Wagon was closed because a cousin of Mickey got in there after hours and perished. They were waiting on HD inspection to reopen.

Wow! How many times did you have to ride around and around on the monorail, just to get that perfect shot?? :goodvibes

My POTD at the fort.

Looks so peaceful, makes me wish I was there.

That's one of my favorite spots. I love when you're heading to the marina on your cart and you go from the road to the cart/pedestrian only walkway there amongst the trees. Not sure why but I always get a warm fuzzy feeling right there.

Me too!

Back when we first began to visit the Fort, this path was not paved.

The kids were little back then. We would drive back our golf cart up and down that path over and over again. We called it the "bumpy road" because it was, well . . . bumpy. You could get some air under the cart- sometimes the kids would crack their heads together. Good times.

One visit a few years ago, we found our good old bumpy road to was paved!

Now every time we drive down it, I always have to say: "remember when this was the bumpy road?" The kids (now a teen and almost teens) hate it when old pappy asks questions like that, which is why I do it every time.

No worries, though, there is a pretty good (but not quite as good) bumpy road behind the group camping area, and you can also grab some major air in the group camping parking lot.

That is one of my favorite spots too! I love the music that plays and it always seems so peaceful. I can close my eyes and just imagine walking along there with my family at night after a day at MK
