Today's snow (3.5" now) breaking our 'snow drought' made an interesting pattern on our patio stones this morning. We actually had a 1/2" snow the night of November 30th but it never really stuck to the grass even so can't count it.

Christmas has officially arrived! Annual Small Town Christmas featuring our favorite concrete truck! And my sweet neighbor left 2 poinsettia plants at my front door this morning!

DH hates that I leave the window shades open during December but I love looking through those windows and enjoying the lights. Even more, I love when I see cars stop in front of the house to enjoy them too. Tonight a massive "wave of nostalgia" engulfed me when I looked out and saw a little boy, maybe 18 months old, holding his Mom's hand, waddling down the sidewalk with a HUGE smile on his face! Took me back to the years when DGD's were that age, holding onto Pappy's hand as THEY toddled down the sidewalk enjoying the lights.
