** Picture of the Day 3 **

Exactly one week later, the count still grows and 150 still missing. Mexico and 19 states have sent First Responders and over 12,300 volunteers have helped with cleanup and supplying food and comfort to those involved. FROM FACEBOOK...missing items that have been found; they're being cleaned with hopes someone will claim them. 😢

Celebrated DGD's birthday a few days early today so all the family could be together...that was one dang good Snicker's Pie too!

Here's one I took in 2009 while on the same Hurricane Ridge Trail; absolutely my favorite NP!
I interned at ONP out of college back in 1981 for three months. I have lots of fond memories from that time. In 2018, the Hurricane Ridge visitor center was there. It got destroyed in a fire two years ago.

And I bet you have some great pictures too! I didn't know that the HR Visitor Center burned down. Glad I got to see it...

After 10 long days Bellville's Virginia is coming home. She was found Sunday and after DNA identification will be home tomorrow. The entire community thanks the First Responders and we're grateful her family has closure.💚💚💚

So sad but the plans for honoring her return sound like something to bring the community together in this horrible time.

😢 It was beautiful and I don't think there was a dry eye in all of Bellville. EVERY town/city, large and small, between San Antonio and Bellville honored her with First Responders on overpass's and/or lining the streets...and SO many people. When the procession arrived in Bellville it had grown to 40 vehicles. Such love shown for this sweet little girl and her family. I'll PM you later...:tink:
