I took it one step further. I bought some shadow boxes at a bargain store. Didn't like the backround color and it didn't hold pins very well. I went to a craft store and bought some 1/4 inch thick foam core board ( two pieces of poster board with stiff foam in the middle ). Found some fabric in the color I liked and got some spray adhesive. I removed the old back out of the frame. Cut the foam board the same shape. Set the fabric on the opening of the frame, and them pushed the board into the frame. I made the fit a little tight, so when you pushed the board in, it stretched the fabric tight so there were no ripples. Then spray the adhesive on the four edges and fold the fabric over onto it, then cut the excess fabric. Put the hard back on the back of the shadow box. PRESTO! Load pins from the front and enjoy. The 2 boxes, foam core board, fabric, and adhesive cost me $40.00. Happy collecting.
