I saw a lovely photo in someone's signature where it looked like they were holding tinkerbelle in their hands and it had a date.

How big are these pictures and how much do they cost? Where do you find the photographers who take these pics? I'd love to get one of my kids holding tinkerbelle ;)

Thanks!

I would have to see the photo to be certain, but it sounds like the photos they do at the Expo Hall at MK (I know there are other places to do it but this is the only one I can think of off the top of my head). There are many different backgrounds you can choose from and then they have you stand in front of a green screen to take your photos. The photo is then superimposed into the background. They come in different sizes (wallet, 5x7, 8x10 etc) and the costs vary depending on what size package you take. Hubby and I have done a few of them and while I don't remember the cost, it must not have been to outrageous because we have about 4 different photos from there. :)

They also take these pictures as you are coming into the parks. The photographers don't jump on you (which I find preferable), so just ask them to take your picture. They are about $13 for a 5x7. I think that buying photos is a great way to spend your souvenier money. I have a few of our pictures from various vacations and locations framed around the house and I always seem to stop and look at them. It really helps remember great times!

Yep, last time I was down (Dec 03) a 5x7 cost between 12-13. I love spending money on photos. Last year we got one in front of the castle with mainstreet in the background all decked out for Christmas and me and my two boys with Lilo and Stitch!!

These kinds of photos would be very easy to create with most any image software on a computer.

Just specifically pose several photos when you are at WDW with these special process shots in mind, then compose them on the computer when you return.

Since these are for your own personal enjoyment and not for sale, there should be no copyright complications.

It might be fun to post a thread on these boards that asks for ideas for photo locations and creative poses for combining with the image of characters.

uktigger ~ That's the photo I saw, but in a different thread and then I couldn't find it to ask. Beastlover if you're reading....I love your photo of you, your dh & tinkerbelle! :)

Thanks everyone, I'm adding the photo cost to my budget ;) If anyone knows the prices of other sizes I'd be glad to know, especially if there is a package deal. :Pinkbounc

I purchased our photo from all 4 parks (2 from MK). The are great souvenirs.

Robo ~ I'm not very technologically savvy...I'll have to leave the job to the experts ;) Great idea though :)

Last December, my family had our picture taken in front of the castle at MK and the photographer told my daughter to hold up her hand and maybe Tinkerbelle would fly by for the picture. When we picked up our picture, Tinkerbelle was there.

We also had our picture taken at Epcot and it was Mickey in her hands instead of Tinkerbelle.

They are really cute pictures. I think this is really a great idea.:D

Have a great trip. Hope this helps.
