FWIW...I contacted my DVC Sales Rep, Jim McCall, to see if he knew who to talk to about any interest that DVC, the resort or Disney may have in using these images. He didn't know off the top of his head but would check. I'll let you guys know what he finds out, if anything.

I've just found this thread and am blown away! Your photos are just beautiful and have been put together in such a way that they really showcase SSR.

We stayed there for the first time last month and I can't wait to go back and explore more of the resort - hopefully with a much better camera in hand!

Yes, that is the best part of SSR. It is like a country retreat. I make it a point to literally stop and smell the flowers while there.

Owning DVC allows us to slow down and enjoy our moments.

They are absolutely WONDERFUL!! We have reservations at SSR for November and I was a little disappointed because we wanted to try out AKL, but I think I've changed my mind!! And our friends will be in the THV so we'll be nice and close to them!

Dave, Love the Ducklings in #7!! Where did you/DW take that 1?

My wife took that one. She went for a walk while my daughter was napping. I sat on the porch and awaited her return. I forgot to ask her where the mommy duck was. It's such a sweet picture.

You know, here's the secret to shooting pictures like this...slow down, take your time to enjoy the resort around you, snap shots of every little thing. Don't worry about the image and how it looks until you get home and see them on your computer. That's when you'll find that you've truly captured the essence of the resort. At least, that's how we approached it. We didn't let our 3 year old daughter and her friend force us to pass up a shot we thought might be worth taking. We stopped got the shot and moved on. Also, while the DW & DD were in the pool I would wander around and click shots of whatever. For instance, on image #8, the green SSR logo in the top left corner is actually from the triangle sign standing by the main pool as you head to the rest rooms, near the bar. Just a simple sign with rules on it but I liked the logo and zoomed in on that. Simple little things like that add up. You know? Anyways, this has been so much fun for me to create. I'm kinda sad that I'm done. I have countless pictures of the family but those you can't really do something like this with. Anyways, I'm already looking forward to our next visit at whichever DVC resort it may be and going out and trying to recreate these collages again. Maybe not at SSR since it's been done. Maybe OKW or BCV next?

BTW...if anyone would like a print of one of these images I'd be delighted to order you one at cost. I use Mpix and you can see on their website that they charge $2 for an 8x10 print and then $5.95 for shipping. So, if you're interested in having a nice print of one or two or even three of these I'll be happy to order it for you and ship it directly to your door. It'll cost you about $7 or $8 for the first one, thanks to the shipping, and then another $2 for each additional one. I'll be uploading them tonight so I can order myself some copies. The images will already be uploaded so let me know. Just email me (dave@dldigitalimages.com) and we can work out the details on payment, address, etc.

What, no pic of the horse statue with the horse statue that appears to have the Kentucky roses blanket on it?? (Just kidding, have seen plenty of those). Would enjoy seeing some interiors, tho -- did you take any? I really like the way you planned ahead and took photos of the furlong markers -- very clever. Methinks you've done this before.

Dave your pictures and collages are awesome They are making me wish I was back at SSR right now. When we were ther in Dec. my DD was sick a few days so while DH would sit in the room with her and watch TV while she slept I went for nice long walks around the resort, it is so beautiful as your pictures show and I am glad it is our home away from home!

Oh no, I'm not a pro by any stretch of the imagination. Just and over enthusastic enthusiast.

Yep, we'll be staying at BWV the last week of April so hopefully I'll have one or two pictures worth a darn to make a collage out of.
