I mentioned this in a post last week. Here's a link to the pics gardening bunnies
While draining the pond & watering a rose bush with the pond water ( my favorite fertilizer) much to my surprise I heard a very annoyed squeaking & rustle coming from the bush. After leaving the roses alone for a week or so I just had to go back and clear away the hay. I thought they would be gone but no. There were 3 little bunnies in the hay. All scurried away but one who was frozen in fright. The hay has been put back & they're back in their house again. Oh well that rose bush may not bloom

Awwww...how cute!

My sister has bunnies living in her backyard, and my 5 yr. old niece (and garden helper ), assures me that they know she's their friend, and understand her when she talks to them.

Aww how sweet. Your niece is very intuitive. They must know she means no harm so they stick around.

When my sons were young we fell into the "it's spring buy a bunny" trap. Miss Kissy was a pedigree flop eared show bunny that we never showed. She started off living in an outdoor hutch. It was cruel to have her caged so we started letting her free in the yard. She would sleep in her hutch at night and hop around the yard all day playing with the kids. We were fenced in the back but not the front and she really enjoyed sitting on the front lawn. Most people thought she was a statue or lawn ornament. She lived for many years hopping around free.

Aww that would be so nice. We really miss her especially in the spring. The bunny family was out playing a bunny game said DS#1 in the spotlight the other night. So happy they're happy here. We have big hawks flying around which makes me nervous for them.
