Your photos are great! I love the one at Casey's! Now, I have a question. I have an almost idential picture of Main St. and the castle with the darn crane in the way. Today, I was trying to erase it out (have Photo Studio 5.5 that came with Canon S2). I cannot get the blue to match the sky no matter how I try. Any tips on changing the hue in one of these software programs? This was the first attempt I have had at erasing an image and trying to match a background.
Are you planning to erase the crane from your picture too? Thanks!

Unfortunately I don't know how to do that. The only PP i do is ocassionally lighten the pic if its too dark.

I'm not familiar with Photo Studio, but you probably want to locate and learn to use the "clone stamp" tool (I think that's the photoshop name).

You basically click a sample point first (say the blue sky just to the right of the crane) and the program uses that sample to paint with.

Just a few things that I noticed.

Get to know your crop tool. It is impossible to frame every shot perfectly. Not even to pros can do that. Use the crop tool to eliminate the distracting items that you did not intend to have in the image. For example, on your Peter Pan shots there is some very bright stuff to the left side that really takes attention away from the subject. On a few of your Spaceship Earth pics, the headrest is in the pic and your eyes go straight to it.

Do not over use the flash. Try out manual settings to capture the low light images. An example of this is the "Boo to You" float. The light from your flash did not reach the subject. It was just too far away. It did reach the people watching the parade and they unintentionally became the subject of the image. I am not saying to never use the flash, because it worked as intended in many of your other shots.

Lastly, be careful where you use your flash. If the ride does not allow it and you are not all alone, I would not use it. I saw a guy practically shove another guy's camera down his throat for using his flash in the HM and ruining the experience for them. If I had been near you in Spaceship Earth, I would have asked you to stop using it.

You have a very good eye for picking shots. Keep up the good work and keep sharing your pics. That is what makes this board so great. We get to learn more about taking nice pictures and we get to see Disney while doing it! Remember, there is no such thing as a master photographer. We all learn something new with every picture we take.

Usually before I use a flash on a ride I will ask the ride attendant if it's ok. If they say yes I wont' shoot antway unless I see other people using their flash first.

Just because one person does something wrong does not excuse you from doing something wrong.

Two people using the flash are worse than one, and if you're using yours because someone ahead of you is using theirs, then you're distracting people who are behind you enough that they didn't see the first person's flash but did see yours.

We all want to come away with good photos but flashbulbs going off in dark rides are, quite bluntly, incredibly annoying and frustrating. They really can (and do) ruin the ride for others.

I'm sorry if I come off as cold, but it's just not fair to the rest of us, and it doesn't matter if someone else did it first.

Now it's just a matter of wether or not I want to do this to all mt pics and reupload them......
Also I see what you mean about the flash. I''ll be getting an external flash in the future... Christmas.....

I would only go back and redo them if you were going to print them.

You're not coming across cold. That's your opinion and you're entitled to it.
This is a debate that could go on and on and that's not why I posted the pics.

However, since when are flash pictures allowed on Spaceship Earth? According to this page over at AllEars (admittedly dated but it's unlikely that Disney changes its rules in this regard), Spaceship Earth does not allow flash photography.

No apology necessary. FYI ...Allears is not on official Disney web site and again IF the ride attendante says you can take flash photography,whicih in this case she did along with most other ride attendants, I would have to believe her/him over an Unofficial web site

just fyi and from my very limited experience, according to a photoshop video i have you can also select the item out then delete it , use the eye dropper to get the correct color from the background and then the fill bucket to fill in with the color( that worked good for things like buildings) or (i would think )the clone stamp would work better here though since it's pretty big and lots of open space.
