Pickle part III

Happy day Pickle Peeps!!

Trace, so very relieved and grateful that your tests were negative for cancer. That must have been quite emotionally draining and scary time for you all. Now let's hope the doctors can pinpoint the source of your other medical issues. A friend of mine as fibro and I know the toll it has taken on her.

Hoping too that Cassidie's ankle will improve so she might be able to play a game or two this year. I'm glad that she is acknowleged as part of the team, as she is whether she's able to play or not. :) Question, might she be with them at games, cheering them on, and perhaps keeping score or helping the coach in any way? (stats?)

My SIL always has her pup Sandi on the bed with her, so I get the connection and need. Growing up we always had beagles and one of them (Jilly) always slept in my brothers room. And no need to feel embarrassed at all about having the bed on the floor. I just hope it is not making you feel worse, with not sleeping on a box spring.

Heather, happy to hear Martina is better, but so hope you did not catch her bug! Feel better my friend!

Our cleaning/purging of the room is over ... whew!! I have vowed never to let this room or any other get in this conditionn again. It's from years of not begin able to toss anything, or organize well.

I did not get the entire room, just a corner that was still unfinished (I call this the "clean" corner... :rotfl2: Too organized... nothing like the piles of paper that existed on the floor, dressers, etc. You should of seen the dust!! My friend came over to help since I did get cold feet we would not be able to empty the room completely. She is a organized person & much different from me! She was trying to get me to throw more away but I could only do so much. So now we have many, many containers to go thru&. But I have vowed not to let anything else back on the floor!

I did not take a pix of our room after the furniture is in, but here is Sam practicing some stretching... she wanted me to take her pix....kids...:teeth:

P.S. I did hear of Annette's passing, which saddened me. I remember seeing some of the re-runs, and have the tune playing in my head now. :) So sorry that she suffered as long as she did, and grateful she is out of that pain - sure Walt himself greeted her with open arms!!

Heather and everyone else... Sam is performing with the 9th grade band at the Park tonight, game is at 7:05 pm... the band plays pre-game so hopefully TV will air that too. :goodvibes

Janet - she has been practicing and will be playing in the tournament next week. She is also getting physiotherapy on the ankle/leg that is giving her trouble. All will be well, with that part, at least.

Sleeping on the floor is no doubt not doing my body any favours, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do for the love of our fur babies. He is my baby boy and that's how it will be until his time is up. I'll be fine. Too many other issues to deal with, and fibro is actually on the bottom of the list.

I need to start a bucket list. Well, I have the beginnings of one, but really need to finish it. I think that may help. Here's hoping!

Have a nice weekend everyone.

Hi Pickles!!
Happy Friday!!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Anybody have any big plans? We might go see 42 for Brian's Birthday....Have to check out the showtimes.

Nope. No plans. Getting half a foot of snow here today. Mark is at a conference at the church until 10pm, so it's just Cassie and me on our own. Bored to tears. Hungry, but too lazy to get up and make myself anything. LOL!

Happy Birthday, Brian!!! Have fun celebrating! :)

So.... was just wondering if anyone is still alive in the pickle barrel or did I kill the thread? It's been a very long time and people move on, I understand that, but I've missed our peeps! Oh to turn back time.

Hope you all are well and are having sweet Mickey dreams! :)

So far, I have not know you to he a thread killer....but I suppose there is always a first! ;) :rotfl:

It seems I was just saying to Janet something about a pickle...or maybe it was someone else? :confused3 Janet will remember because she has my former memory...like an elephant.:thumbsup2

It is always nice to see the pickle thread pop up again...although in November it will be three ears since my last WDW visit. Unbelievable....it has never been that long between trips...not even after we lost Toby. As a former AP holder (for several years) it feels rather surrealistic not to have been in so long. :sad1:

Hope our Pickles pop in soon. ::yes::

Sp happy you revived us, Trace! :grouphug:

No doubt that I did it it in! :duck: I'm glad that Janet has your memory. I've had nobody to take over mine when it completely short circuited earlier this year.

Some pickles are quite busy so not sure if we'll see em soon. Might just be you and me (I) - OMG, that just doesn't look right - talking to ourselves. :rotfl2: Better than what I do at home which is just talk to myself! And you better believe that I answer as well! ahahahaha!!!!

Happy whatever day of the week it is. Oh yes, it's Wednesday because I was too lazy to collect and take the garbage out. Why that just popped into my head right now is beyond me. (might be because my coffee tastes like it) So, now some creep is going to think no one is home, especially with no car in the driveway and going to come and get me (and Cassie) in the middle of the night! No wonder I only slept for two hours last night! I want my man home! Poor old Simon is of no use as he is about deaf as a post and slower than molasses running up hill in the winter, God love my Bugsy. :lovestruc And Holly. Well she is a cat. Cats are useless. :p

:cool1: Woo hoo!!! A Pickle post!!!! I miss you ladies! I am guilty of not being on the DIS much anymore, and half the time I don't get notifications anyway. I'm happy to see you revived us!

:grouphug: No trips is hard. Hang in there! You will get back someday!

I'm glad Janet has your mind. Mine was lost long ago, never to be found again. If anyone finds it, let me know,:rotfl2: Although I am kinda enjoying my crazy self right now.:rolleyes1

Hang in there Trace! your day sounds quite a bit like mine. Brian was gone earlier this week. He got home last night and snored like a grizzly bear, so I didn't sleep. There is not enough coffee in the world to wake me up, but the extra large cup I did have made me all jittery, but I'm still tired.:sad2:

Heather ...I just noticed your countdown says "First trip home"!!! :yay: you bought DVC?!?! WTG!! :cheer2:

Now that I have Sophia, I often wish I had bought when I had the cash to pay for it instead of financing ...I didn't because I could not stand the thought of a monthly payment for dues all year. Of course, now, you know I wish I had bought in. Only SSR was available through Disneh and I really dislike that place - had no idea about resale....that night have convinced me. ::yes::

So happy for you!! It is like a guaranteed trip every year...at least! :goodvibes

I suppose it wasn't nice to say that Janet has my memory ...she probably would not care to have it...:rotfl: but it is nice to think it went somwhere!! ;)

The troops come home today - they went to Wrightsville Beach on Sunday...Mia said it was not as relaxing as other trips...you know how an almost five yr old likes to be busy ALL the time! :dance3: they did have fun...just not a relaxing trip.

Trying to finagle a time and way to take Sophia for four night to WDW this winter...will probably rent points. Would prefer VWL to be near MK but BWV is so much less point wise...and having International Gateway a stroll away is wonderful. Your home, Heather!! :goodvibes

Tracy, I leave on the TV and low light in the living room when everyone else is away. Actually, I leave on a few lights....not as terrified as I used to be....probably because I take a Benadyrl at 8 each night. ;)

Yes, Christine I am on :cloud9 I was relaxing in the adult pool on the last day of our cruise back in Feb. while Brian went to the DVC presentation. We had looked into it before, and at the time it was only SSR or AKV that were available, and neither of those really do anything for me. The smallest contract you could get at the time was 160 points, which is too much for the way we travel. We had fallen in love with the Boardwalk on the tour though, and said that "someday" we would look into it. Well, they had some great deals on the ship, and Brian told me to meet him at 2pm.....what a surprise that they had small contracts at Boardwalk.:dance3: 40 has been good to me! Turns out, we really bought at the right time, as prices went up a few weeks after we closed! I'm with you on liking VWL too...I love that lobby...so calming and quiet, with all the activity of the main lodge right next door!

I hope you can take Mia to WDW this winter....that would be great.

I remember the beach with a 5 year old...yes, those vacations were nice, but NOT relaxing...lol

Ooops, did not get notifications that posts were here. Like you, Heather, I'm not on the DIS much either. Can't afford to go, so I avoid it because it's depressing.

Bet you are getting excited for your DVC stay. I'm so excited for you! If things hadn't gone south for us, we'd be staying on our DVC too. (which we had to rescind - think I told you that when it happened. Can't remember for the life of me)

Five year old girls are busy busy. Don't know how you keep up with her, Christine. It's too bad they didn't get to relax as much as they wanted. That is so important with today's pace and lifestyle. As you know, I'm bored to tears. I used to sleep with the radio on very low, but the tv in our bedroom throws a LOT of heat so can't keep it on or I'll fry to death. (no air conditioning) Also, our bedroom is in the basement. We live in a split entrance so there is no other lighting I could put on that wouldn't look like a beacon for airplanes! ROFL! True, we have no air conditioning. I know, I know. I swear we have indoor plumbing!! My neck and back couldn't handle it if we did have it. I rarely use it in the car. Anyways... off to surf the rest of my day away!

It would be nice to get chatting in here again, but understand that people move on and have busy lives with work, home stuff, etc.. I'm always around on facebook... okay, sometimes. LOL.

Lol! I miss our chats here. This is nice. :woohoo: I think facebook has kinda killed the DIS a little. I have so many Disney groups I'm in there (many are spinoffs from the DIS) that I don't come on as much. And like you, it gets depressing when you don't have a trip planned.

Yup, Facebook and private groups have killed the DIS for sure. No worries. At least we are still connected with Facebook!

Have a wonderful long weekend, peeps! :)

The DIS is really annoying me. Too many threads, too many people, too many "burps" in the system, no notifications. Blah blah. For those going on trips soon, have a great time and say hello to Mickey for me! Thanks.

I had no idea that FB has Disney groups!

Once again the DIS has not be sending notifications of posts ...why do I have instant notification??

I didn't get notifications either! Hope you Pickles are having a good beginning to your weekend. This was such s long week!

This pickle is finally getting around to poping in to say :wave2:

I have a difficult time recalling my own memory....sure don't need Christine's or anyone else's memory to remember too! :rotfl2: Literally I can walk upstairs and by the time I get there forgot what I went for! Yikes! I better start on the Sudoku pronto!:goodvibes

Heather when we get together maybe the two of us can help each other find our minds..:goodvibes think a bit of shopping, eating and a drink or two might help?? :rotfl2:

Hey I miss the old chats too! Trace, hope you can see a trip on the horizon soon for you all. Heather, your DVC stay will be here before you know it, and Christine so will our Granny trip!

TTYL :flower3:

:thumbsup2
