Pickle part III

Oh, Kelly, I was hoping for the same thing from the neurosurgeon.

I cannot begin to imagine what this is like for you, especially Emily- bless her heart. So glad will have a girls weekend - Charleston is so pretty - palm trees have to be good for the soul, me thinks.

You know we all hold Emily so very near in our hearts and prayer. I know I'm in Greensboro, but if there is ever anything I can do, please do not hesitate to let me know. Anything.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Enjoy your trip, and planning Emily's Sweet 16, Kelly!
Hopefully that will get her mind off everything else a little.
I, too was hoping you would come back with a definite plan from the Doc.:grouphug:

Happy Friday, Pickles!!!

Good morning, Pickles. It's Friday!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Kelly, here's a HAPPY SWEET 16 to Emily, and anxiously awaiting the news next week.

Heather, Kari, Janet, Tracy and Christine (Gosh, I hope I didn't miss anyone...it's hell getting old), I hope you all have a wonderful last day of the week and great weekend. Mark is home for Vegas so it is back to chores around the house.

Hrm... ya'll have been busy around here. I'm not getting notifications either and haven't stopped in. My mind has been preoccupied lately. I need to pop in here more often. Sorry, gals. Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful weekend. Ours will be spent in jammies and we're not leaving the house. Has been a long, tiring week. Zzzzzzzz

Ahhh...a weekend in jammies
sounds heavenly
We've got tons of kid activities this weekend.

It's Saturday!!!

I am so tired ~ have that awful weird feeling in my head and stomach - anyone else get that when overtired? But I was on the phone until very late chatting happily with a Pickle, so no complaints!

Trying to decide if I want Mia to drop me at the outdoor, village style mall while she & Sophia go to Kindermusik for toddlers. Will be warmer this afternoon, but still chilly this morning...besides, I've nothing to shop for other than new glasses, so what fun would the Mall be anyway?? :confused3

A bit concerned about my little Gracie - she is my 5 lb, 17 yr old Maltese. She's been coughing a lot the last few days, for now reason. Could be a sign her heart murmur has worsened. She takes a heart med, but she's old, so things could change at any time. she is such a sweet little thing...no would guess she is almost 17.

Anyone have fun weekend plans? I know Kelly and Emily will enjoy Charleston. :thumbsup2

Hope my Pickles have a wonderful day!!:goodvibes

Good morning...oops, it is afternoon here, Pickles.

Christine, I'm sorry Gracie is under the weather. :sad2:

I was at my friend, Frank's, last night and Cupcake, his 16-year old puppy is not doing well at all. I worry about him after losing his mom in November and now his beloved pup.

I'm doing laundry and cleaning. I'm also watching the computer as two of Markie's teammates have become All Americans and one, Evan, is going for the Championship for the second year in a row, and Josh is going for third. Also, Markie's good friend (and my adopted son), Clayton, is going for first place. Clayton goes to a different school, but he and Mark have been friends since the 5th grade where they grew up wrestling together.

Hi Pickles!

I'm exhausted today. I couldn't sleep last night, so I took a sominex, which turned out to be a BIG mistake...I was finally able to fall asleep, but am a zombie today. The kids got up early, which didn't help. Lesson learned there.

Christine, In answer to your question on the WL thread, I would maybe request "Inner Courtyard, upper floor, facing Bay Lake" We have stayed there twice...first time we booked Courtyard and our only request was inner courtyard. We had a GREAT location...2nd floor, south wing, about 4or 5 doors fron the stairs. It was quiet and convenient...same floor as the Lobby and Mercantile, and we could use the stairs to get down to thee pool and to the boat dock faster than going thru the lobby. There was plenty of light there too. We could NOT see the lake from there though...we were too low. There were a few HA rooms on that floor, which makes sense, as no stairs and elevators are needed.

This past trip, we booked woodsview. It was pretty dark, which was GREAT for us at night (no lights shining in from the pool or courtyard...we are light sleepers and that was a big plus) While we could see the fireworks at night, we had lots of trees and some roof peaks during the day, which may be too dark for you if you need natural light. We were overlooking the lobby, Which was beautiful at Christmas, and very convenient.

Hope that helps some.

Heather, thanks much. I have some room numbers now, so special needs can check for HC rooms in that area. Your 2nd floor room sounds wonderful!! I love being able to see water and WL may have small rooms for a deluxe, but that lake view is worth it and a deal for the cost!

I took Tylenol PM a couple of times and same huge mistake - I could hardly function the next day..awful, so no more of that! Hope tomorrow is much better.

Kathy, how did the championships turn out? Will Markie be home for spring break?
And how is your brother doing? I think of him everyday.

Kelly, will be thinking of you and Emily tomorrow and sending much love and prayer. Will hold her in prayer especially during the procedure. I've been through it many times - becasue of her age, it is good they will sedate her, but it will be fine.

Hope our pickles had a good weekend and good rest this evening..anyone else watching the Oscars?

xo

I haven't gone back to catch up, but wanted to log on and thank you all. I feel your support. We enjoyed our time in SC. It was a good group. I am going to take Emily to Raleigh with me on Wed- Friday. I have to present at the NC Headstart Assoc. convention. She is excited about that and it has given her something to look forward to.

I am ready for her procedure to be over tomorrow. I am so glad they are going to sedate her. I can't imagine being awake for that.

Love you all and hope everyone had a good weekend.

xoxoxo

I'm thinking of you and Emily today, Kelly. Good luck.:grouphug:

Happy Tuesday, Pickles!!!

Kelly, I hope everything went ok yesterday...off to check her site now.

Happy Thursday, Pickles!!!
I'm SO ready for the weekend!!!

Good morning. I don't think you killed the thread. I know I've had a very busy week at work...it's been nonstop. I'll be so glad when the weekend gets here.

We are going to a Candlelight Bowl on Saturday night. Oldest son, Andy, has one every year for his baseball team to raise money to help pay for tournaments, etc. It's always a fun time. Markie's been home but is leaving today to go to Rockford (about 90 miles from us) to coach the little kids in the Individual State Championship and then will go back to Dubuque from there on Sunday; he comes home again next Friday to meet with the doctor to decide what type of surgery he needs. Always something.

Hope you and all my other Pickles have a great day.

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been AWOL. I've been busy with my workout, diet and have been researching a lot of recipes and stuff. And, I've been plain old exhausted. 2010 is the year for many changes in my life. I always said I will never be fat at 40. Well, I've got 6 months left before I hit 41. I WILL achieve my goal. My mind is set. Watch out world! I'll be anxious to weigh in on Monday. I've been trying to decide if I want to work out 7 days a week or take one day off and just use the treadmill. We'll see how I feel come Sunday. Last night, I made the most awesome stir fry. I could eat it every day of the week. :)

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the spring weather. We are finally starting to warm up and the snow is melting. We still have a good foot left though. Blech.

I need to scrub my floors, but I don't think I can move my arms. LOL Any takers? :teeth:

Happy Thursday, everyone!

I'm still not getting updates so no idea anyone has been posting...therefore Heather is not a thread killer!! Maybe a notification killer though? :rotfl2:

We had 2 wonderfully nice days, today it is a high of 59 and so foggy (guess it comes from the mountains since we are no where near the ocean).

Trac, you are one motivated woman! Good for you.:cheer2:

Have a great Thursday, everyone!!:goodvibes

I am so proud of you! I really should start doing something...but I figure I'm 52 so who the hell cares. Mark's sight is going so he don't really care what i look like. :rotfl2:

And, NO....I don't do my own floors unless I have to. :scared1:

LOL, Kat!

The freakin dryer hose came off the vent inside. I've got lint EVERYWHERE!! Grrr. Guess I have a pile of dusting to do too. Sigh.

I'm sorry...I don't mean to laugh, but that just cracked me up for some reason. :lmao: Actually, I don't mind vacumming and dusting. It's bathrooms and floors I hate.
