Okay, pickles....please bear with me while I vent a bit...
Short story - we decided to book with a Disney Specialist
Travel Agency who has/d a great group rate for POP. Tracy sent in the request form, later that evening we heard back. As shown on their website, POP was still available...$60 a per ngt inc tx for 5 ngts - EXCELLENT. We ask her to please book asap, and I call with my cc #. That was last Wednesday...we still do not have a confirmation number, nor have we heard from the TA.
Last week when Trac called with her cc# the TA told her she expected to hear back from Disney sooner rather than later, but Monday at the absolute latest. No word. Not a peep.
A good TA should keep clients up to date with what is going on...not give a deadline, then allow the deadline to pass and not let the clients know what's up. Today I sent an email, then a follow-up call 2 hours ago...nothing.
Of course, now everything we wanted is gone from the Disney site - POP sold out, POR sold out, FQ sold out...sigh...We are trying to think positive, but it's getting a bit difficult when there is nothing we can do.
I had counted on the excellent rate at POP, so $$ is now more limited, thinking I could use it as I'd need less for Disney.
I would not be as frustrated if the TA would just write or call!!!
