Pickle part II

BWV & BCV are great location wise..nothing like a stroll to/from EPCOT...then there is the new BLT (why do I always think of a sandwich??)..that could be fun...the new AKLV would be great....even WLV might be okay - thought not very tropical. BCV and WLV do not have views to speak of, at all. Sit on the balcony and stare at trees...not too charming. ;)

Anyone want the link to sign up/ Had a bunch throughout the Spring and early summer, but only one in the last few weeks..and most times for SSR or OKW, but sometimes (like the last one) other great resorts are included.

I was reading about the dlxdp - although thought it would be waay too much food, but the way some of the DISers used it, it sounded like it could be great...it is definitely more convenience than cost saving. But it would be nice to have it all pd in advance and have breakfast and supper every day, with just a snack needed in between.

Will youse guys stop it, please? I need a trip to plan!!! So sad...:sad1:

The reference to BLT ALWAYS makes me think of Food too:laughing:

Hey, Christine, will you PM the link?

The DDXP Plan sounds like a treat to do at least once ...

Don't give up on the trip, my dear. I am considering an AP when I go in Sept...

OMG, OMG!!!! Toby just sent me a rainbow through you, Trac!! Tears....breath....tears...breath...OMG....thank you, thank you!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE these photos!! And of course, especially the one of you in the Goofy ears! :teeth:

 I posted that one first for a reason.

xox

There was, but only until the end of 2009. I was SO bummed about it. I definitely would have reserved over the March break again.

Sniff. We need to figure out this girls' trip and get you down there! popcorn::

Sounds like they forgot to change out the flyers...this time of yr it's generally for much further out. Bummer!

As for that last sentence...well, you know what I think about them thar ideas. (that would be a definite yes:goodvibes) Darn, my DIS font color isn't working again. Geesh.

Tracy - terrific pics!! The DiS and my pickle friends sure liven up the day. Love the GOOFY pic especially:thumbsup2 (and the rainbows for you Christine:lovestruc).

Oh, I NEVER give up!! :thumbsup2

How about I email the link? Think it is one of the companies banned by the DIS - not sure if he was ever reinstated so don't want to take a chance on getting a filter violation.

Yep, I tried, then did a preview and it is still banned. Email! :)http://********************/

Trac, I'm not one who cares o much about food porn - would rather see it in person and enjoy it for real! ;)

Okay, so for the heck of it, I checked DVC points rental (through a site) for next Spring ~ usually, DVC can be rented for about the same cost as a moderate and it holds true even for regular season next yr -for a studio at Sun through Thursday: AKL value (not great) 60 points which would equal $780 or $185 a ngt, about the same as a water view moderate. AKL std 70 points and BWV 65 points for a std view (but I know a good room to request). It goes up from there...

But for an over the weekend visit it's more and not really worth it - with all the Disney deals coming out..if those continue. Also, points can be rented for less, but this person is very safe. During value season more specials become available - mostly for OKW and SSR, but sometimes for AKL and others as well.

I really need to get a life. :upsidedow :surfweb:

p.s. this summer the specials were $7, $8 and $9 a point! For all of the summer into Fall and even early December. I deleted the newsletter since I knew I was going nowhere.:sad2::rotfl:

I'm just sorry we were too much of pigs to take food porn for ya'll! Oops! :lmao:

:rotfl2: Me too!! I'm usually starving by the time my food comes.

You are our pickle TA:laughing: AKL or BWV sounds great to me.

Christine --- Disney 2010 or BUST!!

Of course, I am teasing when I complain about not having a trip in the making.;) Would I sooo love to have one in the works ~ absotutely!! ;) But I am truly a happy camper anyway...and I do so enjoy being an armchair traveler on each of our Pickle trips.

Soooo.....just wanted you to know...I am delighted to tag-along from home as you all plan and look forward to (and post from!) each Pickle WDW visit. :goodvibes

:dance3: :goodvibes :love: :woohoo: :dance3::grouphug:

(not a typo, being silly)

Awww....

Okay, guys...nuttin' on TV tonight...just sittin' here tooling around the DIS...gosh only knows what kind of trouble that will get me into! :sad2:

Only thing I am watching is Big Brother and that's in another 2 1/2 hours so I have all kinds of time to look up trouble too! lol :rotfl2:

I just gave myself a mini facial and now I am... ahhhhh, on :cloud9:. I should pour myself a glass of wine in my new Mickey glass! :thumbsup2

Yes, you should do just that...sounds lovely! Now we would like a pic of that new Mickey glass, please. :)

Two and half hours??? It's on here right now. I don't watch anymore (1st yr the winner reminded everyone of Toby....even tho we all said he looked and acted nothing like him...go figure)....but if I did watch it, I'd never see 'cuz I'd be fast asleep!

So, what kind of mischief are you up to on the DIS?

Sounds like a good plan Trac:thumbsup2 (wine & mischief )

Just got done with dinner - we had "elk" burgers tonight - they were really good, but I didn't notice a lot of difference in taste. Hubby always makes good seasonings when he BBQs.:thumbsup2

I have to watch the later show because Mark gets home after midnight. I can't take a picture because the camera isn't here. I'll see if I can find one on line.

I'm just pricing packages. And dreaming.

I've had deer, moose, and buffalo meat but not elk. I wonder how it compares? Mmmmmm, BBQ. Think I'll do that Sunday for Mark's mommy!

Trac - we bought it up in Sandy Creek, NY (this is a rural area, their Elk farm is right there with the shop.) It was good. I grew up having dear meat since my dad was a hunter.

BBQ is the best -- my hubby (Howard) got into BBQing a few years ago, got a special slow cooker ... so now we get pulled pork, pulled beef, ribs, he makes brunswick stew (all this is so yummm!). He sold the gas grill, 'cause he likes wood grilling so much! I'm happy, I don't have to cook, just make the side items!!

Hey Trac - noticed your pins in one of your pics -- did you like the pin trading? We did a lot of this for Samantha last year (secretly I got into it too). Its fun to be on the hunt for a certain pin - many of the CMs are so nice and really try to help you find what you are looking for.

One of the CMs, Marie, promised to look out for a certain pin, even after our trip and would send it to us. Kind of forgot about it, but surprise! Last December we rec'd the pin and a short note from her. Samantha was so happy and sent her a big thank you. My sis and I will be looking for Marie this year, and hopefully we will run into her, as I'm bringing her some local made candy as a surprise.:)

Ohmygoodness, all this talk of yummy food....well, not sure about the deer, moose, elk or bison....what a sap..I get teary just thinkin' about those poor creatures on plates!

I can't have a chicken that is not boneless or I imagine it getting up and walking...:confused3

Okay, better go now...now you know I am truly certifiable. :3dglasses
