Afternoon, or morning for some. I just got home from an appointment that turned out to be a major disappointment. Complicated story. Anyhow, glad everyone is having a great day so far.

It's gloomy today and we're expecting rain. Again. Mom is out of the hospital. She's at my sister's house having lunch and then headed home for some rest. So far so good. I am glad that's over with.

Does anyone know where my bathing suit is cause I have no clue. Sigh.

Just keep checking, the fares go up and down all the time, especially as it gets closer to your departure.

Is driving out? How long from Chicago would that be? For me it would take about 19 hours (about 1,000 miles one way). I have also taken the train, but I don't know if it would be much cheaper (or even doable for you). Out of Phila, it takes about 19-20 hours, then you would have to rent a car at the station (there a Hertz there).

My principal has said before that my days are my days. And I looked at the calendar and it is actually the third week of school So, I feel a tad better about that.

I'll tell you this.. I am ready to get to Florida on Saturday and see my oldest daughter. I feel like she had been gone most of the summer and I miss her. She is a great kid and I spend a lot of time with her and I miss her!

On another funny note.. my middle daughter and her BFF had a little bake sale and lemonade stand today....and they made...... $71!!!!!!!! Jeeze... maybe I should open one up!

Well, pickles, it's almost TGIF. Thank goodness the work week is almost over. Of course, I got my "work" cut out for me on the weekend, my extremely disorganized house definitely needs an makeover! My goal is to get every paper in its place this summer. I've done zilch so far this summer. Guess I gotta get my butt moving.

Great day in the morning! Avery wants to have a lemonade stand, but we only have 6 houses on our street. Congrats to them for doing so well!

Kathy... sorry to hear that your trip isn't going like you want. What about going somewhere within driving distance, or closer at least? You could look into Virginia Beach or NC Outer Banks. Maybe a flight into RDU would be cheaper, then rent a car and be at the beach in 3 hours.

Going tomorrow at lunchtime to pick up Tucker from camp. They are having a rocket launch of the rockets they built to show their skills for the parents, then a closing program. I'm sure he had a great time, but he will be exhausted tomorrow night. Avery has been missing him terribly. And I am spending SO much time entertaining her this week... played more Wii and card games than I can count. I can't even get away from her at night... she shows up in my bed around 3am with nightmares. My poor kids just don't like any kind of change!

Thanks for the offer to help, but I am afraid this one is out of our hands. Got to love the health care system here. It's not as wonderful as most think it is.
