Picking up Tickets

We are heading to DW this Friday for our first trip. We don't get in until around 9pm on Friday and are hoping to head to the parks early the next morning. We haven't ordered our tickets yet, so I know we can't get them mailed to us but I was wondering if we could order them and then pick them up at MK, where we plan to go Saturday morning? If so, what time do the ticket offices open at the park? Thank you.

Any ticket booth or Guest Relations at any park can assist you with the picking up of will call tickets. Bring the credit card you use to purchase the tickets, and a photo ID.

The ticket booths at the TTC (basically the Magic Kingdom parking lot) should begin opening up by 7:00-7:30 AM. If you're taking resort transportation directly to the park, and not going through the TTC, there is a GR and ticketing window area by the park entrance as well, and it should have someone there at least 1 hour before the park opens, if not earlier.

Great, thank you. I know our hotel (Hilton Lake Buena Vista) has a Disney store in it that we can purchase the tickets but I'm not sure when it opens. If we purchase them online, we don't have to specify where we'll pick them up?

Nope, if you buy online through Disney for will call, you can pick up at any park.

Yup.
That's because there are no actual "tickets" until you arrive (wherever you arrive.)
They PRINT them instantly for you.

Sorry, dumb question. I thought everything was on the bracelets now, not actual tickets? Am I thinking of something else?

MagicBands are optional. There are still plastic ticket cards if you choose not to purchase a MagicBand and don't have one from a resort stay or previous trip.

Thanks again for all of the feedback. One last question, the way I read it, we can add days to our tickets after purchasing them and still get the discount is that right? I know there is a price break the more days you buy. I have a conference so I think we're going to only buy a 3 day pass. However, one of the days I'm in meetings, my wife and kids may want to go to the parks. Can they just add a day at that time and pay the discounted price (4th day ticket) or would they basically have to buy a 1 day ticket?

As long as your wife and kids go to upgrade their tickets before the third day is used up, they can absolutely add a fourth day and just pay the difference. Buying a new one-day ticket is more expensive and not something you want to do!

Exactly, that's what I was hoping to avoid. So, they have to make sure to buy the 4th day before we use the 3rd day?

It's not that critical.

Guests can upgrade a ticket as late as close of business ON the same day that the last ticket day is used.

So, if a guest has a 3-day ticket, and he uses the "3rd day" on the ticket to go into a park,
then decides to add a day (or more) to his ticket, he can still do so up until the end of that day.

What's more, with the advent of MyDisneyExperience, I'm not so sure that even this limitation is still relevant.

So I talked with the concierge of our hotel on the phone and there answer was pretty vague when I asked if they offered the multi-day discount on the tickets. In case they don't when we actually get there, does the parks ticket booths offer the same multi-day rates as I could get through the Disney site?

Yes, the ticket booths sell tickets at the same rates as on Disney's website.

Perfect! The concierge was bouncing all over the place and said there may be "convience fees." Maybe we should just order them online and have them at will-call at our first park. Does that work pretty smooth? If we order them tomorrow night, are they available to be picked up on Saturday?

Will call is super easy as long as you bring the right stuff - the CC used on the order, a photo ID, and the confirmation number. (The confirmation number is actually optional since the ticketing CM can swipe your CC to look up the order!)

Tickets ordered online are generally available very quickly - a day or two is more than enough advance time.

Ten seconds is enough advance time.
From the moment you complete your order, the info will be in the computer and the will call locations will be able to print your tickets.
