Picking up the courage to post!

Hey everybody.

I joined the forum last year but have not yet posted anything at all so here goes...

My name is Clare i live with my partner of nearly 2 years and my daughter Age 5 (partner not her Dad) i am planning on taking my daughter to WDW next November ( if i manage to save up by then).

Both myself and my Daughter have not been on a real holiday. I at the age of 24 have never even been on a plane or stepped foot inside an airport.

I want to make our first holiday as special as i can and i believe there is no better place to start!

I collect Disney pvc figures they are the cutest!

Welcome to the DIS! Hopefully the exchange rates will still be in your favor then which will hopefully make the trip a bit more affordable for you. Just keep in mind that the week before (11/17/13 - 11/23/13) and the week of Thanksgiving (11/24/13 - 11/30/13) the parks usually out of control busy. We had friends who went the week of thanksgiving and swore they would never do it again. We are planning to go during the first week (11/3/13 - 11/9/13) because our kids will have no school on November 5th (election day) and November 11th (veterans day) This week is also called "Jersey Week" as many of the schools in NJ are closed for the second part of that week for a huge teachers conference. From what I have read on-line there is little or no impact on crowd levels for that week. Best of Luck wit h your planning and enjoy your 1st visit to the Mouse House

Thank you for the tips on November, maybe September would be a better time to go.

I am still not sure of who im actually going to take a long to Disney with me, i will be taking my daughter of course. she doesn't know so i want it to be a surprise

I worked out on the WDW website that for the 2 of us for 2 weeks staying at AoA in a LM room, with quick counter service It will cost £1,997 and the flights will cost about £500. (going to book flights separately because it works out cheaper)

I may upgrade to Disney dining plan, is it worth it?

Can somebody please tell me if there will be transport from the airport to the hotel even if i don't book the flights and hotel together?
