We are staying a a different resort than other members of our party who will be staying in their RV at Ft. Wilderness. One morning, we need to pick them up to travel off-site. They have a premium spot, which I understand are located in the 'back' of the resort near the marina. I also understand that we won't be able to drive into the resort to pick them up at their RV spot. Is there a way to drive to the 'back' of the resort somehow to pick them up, or do they need to make their way to the 'main entrance' for us to pick them up?

They will need to make their way up to the reception outpost for pick up.

Have them give you there parking pass or resort ID the night before so you can drive right up to here site and pick them up.

They could just follow the rules and make their way to the front desk/outpost reception area and get picked up there.

My DH was going to meet someone at the reception area so they could play golf. But when the guy drove up to the gate the guard told him to drive to our loop.

We do this all the time. We give them our pass for the car and one of our resort ID cards and they have no problem getting in. My family stays at several different places but we always end up at FW to pick up our parents or watch the campfire movie.

....and don't worry this is not breaking the rules.

Actually, yes it is. Your parking pass and your resort ID are for you to get your car in, not family or friends.

What he said !

last year my ex was allowed to drive to our campsite so that he could meet his grandaughter for the first time. he just had to tell the CM's at the gate our name and number where we were staying.NO Problems at all! :thumbsup2

Using another persons ID to gain access to a hotel is called defrauding an innkeeper and is a crime in Florida and carries a $2,000.00 fine.
I don't think I would risk that just to visit someone or to avoid a short bus ride.

What is so difficult about waiting for them in the overflow lot, and having them take the bus to the Outpost area? "Loaning" out parking permits and resort keys doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling - it results in a loss of control over who is coming onto the resort. Personally, I think if this happens and someone gets caught doing it, it should result in immediate eviction for the individual "loaning out" the permits.
