DH and I are planning our second family trip to Disney. He has to turn in his vacation request at work very soon and we are stuck on which week to pick. We are not bound by school calendars so we'd like to go in the fall and hopefully have slightly cooler temperatures and lower crowds. DH is partial to seeing Christmas decorations but we can not go in December at all. We are leaning heavily towards the week of 11/14-11/21. What are the pros and cons of this week? If it matters, we have three children who will be 6,5, and 3 during the trip.

I think that would be a great week to go! Assuming F&W ends before that week, you'd be there during the "lull" between F&W and Thanksgiving week so crowds shouldn't be bad. And the weather will definitely be cooler than summertime and probably cooler and less muggy than October even.

(Edited to add that we're on our way home from being at WDW Nov. 17-22, and it was unusually COLD when we arrived but warmed up into the mid-70s later in the week which is what we're accustomed to this time of year.)

Thanks! I think I'd rather brave the cold than the heat this time around.

Nov is the best time to go IMO. Weather is great, crowds are manageable and the holiday decorations are up.

With Nov, there are a few things that can increase the crowds a bit, but those are usually in the beginning of the month. F&W, marathon, Veterans Day.
