Picked POR

We finally decided on POR for our wedding night switch. DF and I looked at the pictures of all the mods and we both fell in love with POR!

Any particular building or room we should request? We did go with the standard view room. Maybe they'll see it's our wedding night and upgrade us to king or maybe a good code will come out, but we're just happy to be getting married and spending the night in a Disney resort!

We loved POR! We prefer the mansions and our room was in Magnolia Terrace which has a quiet pool nearby and is close to a bus stop if that matters. Oak Manor would have been my first choice because it has a quiet pool also, but a shorter walk to the main pool and the food court but at the time it was a smoking building. (Now nonsmoking). We had a standard room but it was a corner room which was great because it had 2 windows and the room seemed so much more spacious. Congrats and have a great time!

We stayed there for our honeymoon, and LOVED it. We did saty at the Mansions, but can't remember which building. We did a little resort hopping one day, and were very happy with our choice, especially as far as cost goes. We liked the Poly and Wl a lot too, but were glad to be able to spend more money on our food and in the parks! Have fun!

The only moderate available for our vacation dates and Disney visa discount code was the POR. It looks like we'll be there around the same time (for us its 10/25 to 10/30). My 6y/o DS is turning 7 that week. I guess we'll all have something to celebrate while we're there. Good Luck on your wedding!

FYI: With the Disney visa discount, I was able to upgrade my reservation from the POP (which we really like, but was not available for the dates we want) to POR -- for a total of $400 in savings! This is with base tickets and the dining plan for 4 people! Wasn't that awesome?

we just did the same thing today. We were scheduled to stay at Pop in December but we called and used the Disney Visa code and for an extra $14 we are going to stay at POR. Have to love those discounts! To the OP thanks so much for asking the question about the room requests - it helps me too! Congrats on the wedding too!

You will love POR, it is so beautiful. Don't miss the boat ride to DTD. Depends on your style, we like the AB section, but mansion section is really nice too. Congratulations.

We are staying at POR on our wedding night/ honeymoon as well! Only 23 more days and we will be there for a week!! We cant wait!

Congratulations! POR has stunning grounds for wedding photos. I would go with the mansion section. The steps and gazebo would make lovely backdrops for photos.
