Please help me to pick three restaurants that I should not miss on my next trip. What would you choose and maybe an explanation of what you like the most about the restaurant. Thanks

Boma-
Good food, great setting. Lots of varieties of interesting foods...but not so different that the average joe wouldn't find something they like!

O'Hana-
Another great setting with lots of tasty meats. My dd loves the coconut races and we love the food!

Coral Reef-
We really liked this meal and another very cool setting. Dh and I both ordered steak and it was very tasty and very filling....then there is the chocolate wave dessert!

1) Character Meal: You pick the one that has the characters you like, the food is always secondary at these. I pick this type of meal because its something I just can't do at home. I can go to a buffet but its doubtful Goofy will come by my table for a visit! I guess my favorites are: Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare and Liberty Tree Tavern.

2) San Angel Inn: Again its about an atmosphere I just cannot get at home. I eat Mexican all the time but seldom by a river overlooking an active volcano. The Mexican food here gets mixed reviews, probably because Mexican food in the U.S. varies so much by region. Being from Colorado its not too different than what I am used to. My family just really enjoys this place and looking for the Hidden Mickey in the volcano smoke! The margaritas are strong and will enhance the volcano/Hidden Mickey experience!

3) O'Hana: All you can eat grilled meats and scalloped potatoes need I say more! We love going to the Poly to eat and dreaming of the day we can stay at this resort. We have found the food to be really good and the service exceptional. My kids love the games they play. Again, when I am here I just feel immersed in Disney magic.

There are many more gourmet places I know but with two kids we need to find places that are more fun. And as I have said about 20 times I just love these places because I cannot enjoy anything like these at home. I also have to add my honorable mentions of Sci Fi and Prime Time because they are in the same category for my family for the same reasons.

Boma - The yummiest food and desserts. It's really interesting, yet not odd, kwim?

Chef Mickey - Great food and all the Mickey and friends characters, which is just "so Disney!"

Pepper Market - Really good food, great variety and a CS!

Le Cellier - great steaks and nice atmosphere!

Garden Grill - yummy food and great character interaction.

CRT - because EVERYONE should eat in a castle at least once!

San Angel Inn, Boma, 'Ohana. But don't forget the Flame Tree BBQ CS at DAK.

ABC commisary, Hollywood & Vine, San Angel Inn in Mexico

1. Artist Point Each time I've been here the food is really excellent. And I've gotten the best service of my trips at this restaurant. The cobbler is to die for!

2. California Grill during fireworks. The food is maybe a bit over-hyped but quite good and the setting is spectacular. Truly a Disney setting...good food, beautiful fireworks, nice wine...what's not to love?

3. Lunch at CRT. It was my family's first ever meal at WDW on our first ever visit ,and although the food isn't wonderful (it isn't horrible either) and it is overpriced...the ratio of character to guest is fabulous and the setting is memorable. We all had a great time and none of us were under the age of 17 (youngest of my DDs). We really felt like we were in Fantasy Land.

Boma - Great atmosphere and selection, very delicious with amazing desserts. In addition, just taking a visit to AKL is a plus.

Le Cellier - My favorite meal of the last trip and new favorite restaurant, actually ate here twice last time. The steaks are great and soup is delicious. There wasn't one thing that anyone ordered in my family that we didn't like.

Ohana - fun atmosphere and great steak

This will be easy since our favorites are exactly the same as Jambo!424 and for all the same reasons.
I would like to add that the desert at 'Ohana is incredible.

Marrakesh - great food, awesome feel to that restaurant and they are hardly ever busy there! I try to eat there almost every trip of mine. Sometimes more than once as well

Crystal Palace - one of the best buffets I have ever eaten :teeth:

Le Cellier - I really don't have a third, but the bread was fantastic and we had great service and ambiance there.

Hi
there are so many that this is going to be tough:

1. The Yachtsman Steakhouse/California Grill - ok, I could'nt decide
- the food and the atmoshphere was great at both places.

2. O'hanas
- this place is alot of fun and the food is delicious. Go hungry!

3. 50s Prime
- The food is good and the 50's memorabilia and staff keep us coming back.

1 - Boma - I don't really know how to describe it, but it was a really interesting buffet. The corn chowder rocked.

2 - Cinderella's Castle - It's really cool if you can get a seeting durring Wishes. It also has the best Prime Rib on the property.

3 - 1900 Park Fare - Most people think of Chef Mickey's as being the quintessential character Buffet, but to me the food at 1900 Park Fare is better. There are some more exotic choices. The only aggravating thing is all the different princesses in there. I liked it better when it used to be just villans.

Le Cellier - This is one of two repeats we are doing from our 2004 trip. I LOVE the cheese soup, and go back just for that.

HDDR - my kids FAVORITE! DH has the same "corny humor" that the show has so they all really enjoy it...the food is not that wonderful.

Last night I asked my 3 boys to each pick one restaurant that they want to return to on our December trip. Here's what they said:

8 year old: Donald's Breakfastasaurus. We all liked the food, but our server really made it a great experience. Lots of fun and laughing during this meal.

11 year old: 50's Prime Time. Loved the food and the antics of our server, ma.

13 year old: Le Cellier (also a favorite of 11 year old). We all really liked the steaks and potatoes.

My choice: Ohana.

1) O'hanna for the delicious food! :goodvibes

2)Whispering Canyon cafe for the atmosphere!

3)Chef Mickey's for the wonderfull dessert bar!!!! :rotfl:
