I really want to do this with DD, I'm going to pre-buy pearl cage carriages before we go (I read to make sure they'll hold a pearl 10mm or smaller)

We're staring to plan our day at Epcot, so I was wondering, what's the average wait time to pick our pearls once we get there?

Does anyone have eBay or etsy store recommendations?

Thanks :)

Hi, we did this a couple of times with our DD and it was a lot of fun! I did buy the carriage pearl cage from an ebay seller before we went on our trip, but it's been a few years so I don't remember the seller. The pearl cage held the pearl nicely though. As far as the time frame for the Pick-a-Pearl experience- when we went it seemed very crowded in the store, but not everybody was there to do the Pick-a-Pearl. They make it into a big production/ show which draws more people over to the counter. From what I remember the whole process took less than 15 minutes- so not too long. We'll probably do this again on our next trip. Have fun!!pixiedust:

There were quite a few people watching at the tanks but only two people had paid and gotten a number ahead of me so the wait was about 10 minutes. This was late afternoon. I had been given a Cinderella carriage as a birthday gift (it came from etsy, I know) but my oyster had twins, perfectly matched 8mm twins! I need to get them made into earrings and do it again to fill my carriage, lol.

I think it depends what time of day you go. We went mid-afternoon and I think there was one person ahead of us. We came back to pick up my necklace later in the evening and it was PACKED.

It is such a fun experience and I love my necklace. Very neat souvenir :)
